I break out my guns and clean 'em. Down here in the South in the summer, it never hurts to give everything in the safe(s) a once over every few weeks. Then I get a hankerin' to take one out that I haven't shot in a while and plink at the range. Took the lady who cuts my hair out shooting long guns the other day (she took my CCW class a few months ago) to see which rifle or shotgun suits her best for her home. She really likes the Marlin 1894P (.44 mag, ported) guide gun, especially shootin' .44 special cowboy loads. Recoil is mild, the gun's easy to work, and now I'm tryin' to find her an 1894C in .357.
Durn things are scarcer'n hens teeth right about now. I'll have to make sure I find two so's I can have one.
