How do you pack your reloads?

I've gone away from using plastic ammo boxes. They just are not efficient enough wasting space in the metal ammo cans.

I use ZipLoc bags, pint or quart, 50 or 100 handgun rounds per bag and then the bags are stored in metal ammo cans. Rifle ammunition may have 20 or 50 rounds per bag. Only one cartridge type per ammo can.

Only way id do zip lock bags is in 50 cal metal ammo boxes and wven then i dont care for them... (other than temporary 5-10 rd range test load bags to that day or very soon afterwards)

I dump mine into 50cal ammo cans. 1300-rounds of 230gr. 45.ACP. There is another outside the picture.

Am eagerly awaiting this Panic to end sufficiently for my local ranges to re-open.

Same here. .50 cal ammo cans. Been shooting the same loads for every caliber I shoot for ages. No need to label anything for pistol. I keep my .308 in 100 round plastic ammo boxes, but that's more to keep track of the brass than the load.

I use MTM boxes for pistol and rifle, small rifle goes 100rds, larger rifles I use the 50's. My 3gun .223 match ammo I put in 20 Gauge shell boxes as they'll fit 100 and don't take up much space:

Harbor freight has the plastic ammo cans for like 2 or 3 bucks in their ads pretty regularly. I bought a couple dozen of those and I just load til the box is full for most things. 9mm, 357, 30-30, .223, 6.8spc...

Rifle and pistol stuff usually gets stored in the plastic boxes from Grafs.
I just delved into shotgun reloading, and so far I just store them stacked as neatly as possible in ammo cans.
I have used the white cardboard boxes, but I like the plastic hinged boxes better.

I keep my reloads in ziplock baggies with the load and bullet info written in marks a lot on the baggie. All the baggies of a certain caliber in its own ammo can. Saves lots of space.
Ok, ya got me. I recently moved and dumped lots of the Gatorade quart bottles in ziplocks into the Fat 50’s and they did make it easier to stack but as I get older those full Fat 50s weigh more. I’m collecting coffee cans (er... plastic) in the meantime.
And those coffee cans hold 350 .45’s easily. The only problem with a bulk container vs the nice neat CDO approved MTM boxes is determining how many were shot - how many are left.
I’ve seen some labeling in pictures above and would just note I add the manufacturing date of the ammo in case I have to track back to the reloading log, and a designation that it’s been gauged. I haven’t quite gotten to the point of barcoding everything, but it’s on the list...

High volume bulk ( 9mm, 45acp, 223R) ammo in the 30-50 cal cans. I then transfer to the MTM boxes for easy of gabbing what I will shoot. As I've got older I've migrated to the 30 cal cans since they are lighter to pick up. My match grade ammo goes into the MTM boxes for rifle loads.

I use boxes from factory ammo. I pre-printed labels allowing me to fill in the details of the reload, including the caliber, type and weight of of bullet, OAL, type of powder and the charge.

Plastic jars reused from the kitchen mostly. Uniliver is perfect, texmati rice is good, my new favorite is the big square edamame jar. I boxed ammo up the first couple months. Any Factory rounds I buy typically come bulk and loose. I just gave in to it. It was a journey!

I use the bigger 2# protein powder jugs for cases in various stages of prep or to store media for the tumbler. It’s hard for me to throw out good packaging that can be used for something else. I sold about 50 of them in a yard sale one time $1each.

I’m still young enough to work 70-80 hours a week. I play golf and reload. Something had to go and it was boxing ammo. I do label because I think that is a safety measure.

Plastic containers (previously contained grated parmesan cheese) from Sam's Club. They were free to me!;)

5 gallon buckets. when i go to the range i fill up a few baggies and put them in an ammo can.

If the daughter in law is going a take the whole bucket.

I'm maxed-out on plastic ammo boxes - no more. I don't like storing empty or 30% full MTM or Plano boxes waiting to be refilled. Plastic baggies or leftover, small plastic food-packaging containers (yogurt, pb, etc.) that can just as easily go into the recycle bin when empty. The bags/containers then go into ammo boxes.

When I make a run of all the same ammo I like to use vacuum sealed bags in an ammo can and a dissicant pouch thrown in, I put 45acp and 40s&w in bags of 50, 223 in bags of 100. I printed a label from here that I fill out and put in the ammo can so I can remember what load it is. 30-06, 6.5grendel, 6.5x50, 45-70, 30-30, and 8mm gets put in plastic 50 or 100 count holders and then in ammo cans, when making a range trip I just grab a can and put in a box in the truck and go. Some 7.62x54R, 7.62x39 and 8mm are in the spam cans they came in. 4 50cal cans of boxed m2ball and 2 cans of m2ball in ammo belts with enblocs. 22s I like to use vitamin bottles with flip open tops

I use to put them in a baggie and then into an ammo can. Now I pretty much just dump them in a ammo can.

Afraid I have obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) when it comes to organizing and reloading. Been experimenting with various ways to store reloads to minimize space and keep the inventory.

The military ammo boxes are great for loose bulk rounds and about the right size and stack well. Kinda wanted to take it to the next level of being organized. Plastic boxes are nice, but can add up when doing large quantities. Recently been using inexpensive cardboard packaging for pistol and shotgun rounds.

What's your preference for packaging ammo?

Where do you get your paper boxes from?

How are you keeping everything straight/together when vacuum sealing?

Midwayusa has paper boxes but of course out now. Like factory ammo boxes but a cheaper styrofoam shell holder.

I have a bunch of the old Midway (before MidwayUSA and Frankford Arsenal...) plastic ammo boxes, those were the ones that stacked well together. Even the .40-.45 size boxes fit right down inside of a .50cal ammo can very well, which is how I transport them. The new ones juuuuuust don't fit down inside there, unfortunately.

I'm a big uniformity guy... I'm probably too OCD for my own good. I like everything the same and orderly... so I have specific containers for certain brass, containers for bulk bullets, boxes for bulk reloads, etc. When I bought different dies, other than RCBS, I had to buy an empty RCBS box to put them in so they would stack on the bench... and look the same.
