Greetings,

I saw a nice condition full-length Nagant with the fixed 2.5X (?) scope and high mount a few days ago at the gun shop. The rifle was a 1942 (I am sure it had been arsenal refinished) and the scope was dated 1944 (looked authentic). Its a pretty safe bet that they were mated together recently, which is OK for a fun shooter. What do folks think of these? Do they shoot well?

Thanks,

Hunter

They are fun shooters. Mine is a 1942 with a 1948 scope. Its more accurate then i am, i know that. Ive had it for about 6 months and have yet to sight it in. The only problem with mine was that the mount was not original to the rifle, and the mount had to be ground down to make the reticle centered in the field of veiw. Heres a link that will explain it in detail: http://mosinnagant.net/sniper%20section/mosin-nagant-sighting.asp
Its not a major problem...quite simple to fix actually. BTW, the scope is 3.5 power;)
