Yeah, no sense in getting a guy's shorts tied up in a knot over a fairy tale. I wandered over to the forum where this whole thing started. The guy first claimed to have performed the feat in 2.17 seconds. Then he corrected the timer error to 2.71 seconds. At 2.71 the drill was no big deal and his buddies can do better.

Now he has come full circle and the 2.71 was without a reaction time to the buzzer and the feat was a once in a lifetime fluke. However, he still claims any world class shooter can perform the task on demand, in a match, under pressure. His buddies have chimed in and are in the process of informing readers that there are shooters out there who do not compete who make Rob Leatham look like an amatuer. That's a quote, lol.

Some of the guys involved in the thread "over there" are Internet trolls of the highest order. They even let Gun Kid play. Between the out right lies, nasty debates and total ignornace, it is little wonder krept posted here in an effort to separate fact from fiction.

As for the folks who have seen better shooting, well maybe they didn't read the information, or they are the same people reporting Elvis sightings. Such is the nature of the Internet.

BTW, did I mention I know a guy who can draw from surrender at the buzzer, fire a round COM on a close yardage IPSC target, reload, fire a second round, and catch the first magazine before it hits the ground,all in under 2 seconds. Fact or fiction?

Now, that one I can believe. The details are clear, the time stated isn't outrageous, the number of shots is doable. The real trick is catching the falling mag. But, if he prepares in advance he can catch it with the weak hand near the ground while firing the second round with his strong hand (you didn't say the 2nd round had to hit the target). He might also deter the falling mag by letting it hit his hand on the way down so it has to restart at time zero, gravity wise.

Let's put it this way - that's a lot more believable than the original story here. I'll bet he can't do it everytime, but neither can Munden or Knapp with some of their skill shots.

I won't say someones lying but, my kids were born by miraculous conception too.

I'd put money on that being more than ten shots, the timer needs to be checked and a different tape measure used for the distance. ;)

What forum are these idiots from??? I can't believe that anyone would believe crap like that. Everything changes once you start shooting with timer. I highly doubt this guy could do this especially with a clunky G21.

distance = 25 Yards

platform = Glock 21

ammunition = 10 rounds of Sellier & Beloit 230 Grain FMJ

time = 2.71 seconds from the draw, timer was used

The group you see is basically 3".

A Glock is lucky to shoot 3" @ 25 yards from a MACHINE REST with factory ammo. The story is bull.

The fact that the guy's story changes more often than his underwear is a big hint that he's full of crap.

I'm inclined to think that this is a gross embelishment of the truth. At 25 yards I find it very hard to believe that 10 shots could be fired into a 3 inch group in under three seconds even if the shooter was allowed to begin on target. Now add drawing to the equation, and there is no way I believe it. Finally add the fact that it was done with a factory Glock, and there is really no way I believe it. The only way this could be true is if this guy shoots in Ketucky with Lucky at his magic 800 meter range, which must also have a pistol range blessed by the gods.

There is no way this is real. Wait it is April 1st, someone get an early start? Like Ankney, I shoot in competition too and have shot with the best in the world. This feat is impossible because of the time limit. There is just not enough time to put the shots together after the draw, there is a finite limit to what can be done. We are pushing the limits in competition everyday but this would be like someone launching a space vehicle from their backyard and going to Mars and back . Hell that's even more proabable!! I've pulled off some amazing shots a few times but they are just chance and a hell of a lot of practice. Take the NRA Action Pistol Championship known as the Bianchi cup. The practical event has 3 25 yd strings in it. You have two targets downrange about 18 inches apart. From the surrender position for string one you draw and fire one round on each target in 5 seconds, string two draw and fire 2 shots on each in 6 seconds and string 3 draw and fire 3 rounds on each in 7 seconds. When I'm practiced up I can shoot all 12 rounds in the 4 inch x ring, I've done it at the match many times. This is with a 9mm compensated, highly modified 1911 pistol with a red dot sight and 1 lb trigger pull that shoots under an inch at 5o yds. Not a glock! It took years of practice to be able to do this on demand and this is nothing compared to the skill it would take to do what this guy is claiming. The group is not impressive at all, I can shoot 6 rounds into a one inch group at 25 yds taking my time with a good pistol, certainly not a glock. Mickey Fowler and John Pride can shoot a one hole group doing the same. Robbie Leatham can too but that still is not even close to what this guy claims.

It's a fantasy a hoax and just plain BS.

As a Glockster, mystery shooter need only to open up a can of whoop a$$ on David Sevigny and he's home free. Piece of cake.

Too funny. I am a crappy B shooter namely because I have attended 2 matches in the last year. I suck, but I know that two nights ago at the local military range I loaded up my G17 with a 30rd mag and had a 22 and 17 rd reload handy. I then proceeded to do my timing/sight tracking/ arm exercises by dumping said mags as fast as I could see the sight into an IDPA target at 7 yds. The big mag I shot freestyle, the 22rd Strong hand and the 17 rd weak hand. I was down two. No timer, but as reference everyone said ***???, stopped shooting and watched me. I say this to say as bad as I suck, I am way beyond what people see as average competency with a Glock.

Earlier that evening, I shot 30rds with the G17 thinking of this thread, and to see how a reload of mine did. Distance was 25 yards, target was an IDPA head. I shot with about a 2 second shot cadence. I had one miss 2 inches center left and 5 in the down 1 area directly below the head from trying to figure out my hold on the target. The rest were there. The first two were down ones and the holes were touching. I was pleased as punch with this shooting, and wish I could take 25 yard headshots to the bank in matches.
Reload is nice, albeit kinda hot, I made it as spare carry ammo. 115grXTP, 5.0 Titegroup, WCC cases, Fed SPM primers, 1.125". I think it's a keeper.

So, I wish I could take this guy's money, because he is full of it!

At that speed, it is shooting like I have never seen before.

If it was slow fire, no big deal. At under 3 seconds, he is great if it is real.

believe half of what you see and none of what you hear....
if its really true ,congrats man thats awesome.i have never seen any glock shoot groups like that.and the time is awfully fast( too fast)im gonna say that this is bull?????, but thats my opinion.If this can be done consistenly that person should be doin demos for a living.
