How long before thehighroad is outright censored???

I'll bet the systems admins and hosts draw some flak with the sixty day rule. If the robed wonders think they have the final word they are wrong. Might not be a bad idea to stock up a little just like Y2K. Being prepaired is far better than being out luck.

This is a very silly, meaningless thread. Things must be slow so lets make-up something to worry about. Why not instead talk about one of those comets wiping us out or one of those sunken nuke subs leaking deadly toxic waste into our oceans? How about we talk about WACO or Sherman tanks? You know something worthwhile.:)

telewinz: just because you think the fed.gov is near-perfect and incapable of violating our rights doesn't mean that everyone who discusses the possibility of infringement is wasting time.

And you know what? Even if all the posters on this thread are wasting their time, so what? Are you the thought police? If you don't like what we have to say, feel free to ignore the thread.

Are more people affected by political talk here, or on the GOA mailing list?

Have they (the GOA) been told to shut up as far as the mailings on politics go, at least within 2 months of the elections?

Is there a connection here? Is it worth discussing? Hell, is it a fun topic?

We're going to be wiped out by a comet?
:what:

I hate being so cynical at the ripe old age of 20...

What I find more deeply troubling is how we only have 70 billion years until the universe implodes upon itself. Screw toxic waste, we are talking about the fate of the whole universe!!!:what:

Anyway. I think that when dissent is severely cracked down upon, that THR will be censored. The only trouble with that is that the .gov would have to occupy the backbone of the internet and shut them down, like Mae East and Mae West, for starters. That would shut things down from coast to coast (as I understand it). Then you have to have the National Guard or local army bases occupy the city and state routers. Or just blow them up. Its pretty hard to voice your dissent and rally supporters when you have no medium to voice it upon.

"And tell me, Mr. Anderson, what good is a phone call if you are unable to speak?"--Agent Smith:scrutiny:

telewinz: When I hear you utter the words "The Government may have been wrong after all," THEN I'll start to worry about TEOTWAWKI...:what:

Thats easy, any and all governments make mistakes including ours. It says "more perfect" not perfect government. Please read the fine print.

I guess this is appropriate for this thread, but I was politically involved as a Republican this past November in one of the most entrenched Democrat strongholds in the nation, certainly in my state. I can't tell you how many people said that they'd like to support me, but can't out of fear (of I don't really know what). Many people (including very prominent doctors and other professionals) whispered to my wife that they're voting for me, but please don't tell anyone.
Whoever made the Nazi Germany reference I can tell you from absolute first hand experience that it applies, is accurate and every erosion of our Bill of Rights gets us closer to becoming Nazi Germany-like. My state is clear proof only visible to those around here without their heads where they shouldn't be.
I'm guessing that core American values exist in abundance in most parts of the United States. So looking forward to moving there hopefully this year in the spirit of my ancestors who actually fled the real Nazi Germany. Dummies who didn't.

>>>Don't need to censor it.

Just need to tax it.

Then offer a tax break for not discussing certain things.<<<

You hit the nail on the head......Just like in California where they tried that tax you "by the bullet" crap.

I do fear that in my lifetime there will be a bloddy end to some of this.....
