my newest & something else of the same caliber, my kimber ( w or w/out the 22 upper) plus whatever strikes my fancy and i may or may not shoot my carry gun. if cowboy practice, than at least 4. if weather permits, add 3 rifles. ps.. i would like to thank the 70+% who clean regularly....makes buying used much easier.

Usually 2. I take whatever centerfire handgun I want to shoot, and one of my .22LR guns.

If I'm going just for handguns then 3:
Mark3
G19
Kimber UC2

If i bring the long guns, then a total of 5 or 6
AR15
AK47
M1A - not as often.

If I'm just going to plink 2-3, I go plinking about once a week.

For competitive practice I take just my competition gun, and I do that 3-4 times a week.

I find that if I take more than 2 or 3 I get distracted and my practice is less effective. For example, if I take both my carry guns (Kimber Ultra Carry II and S&W m37) and, say my HiPower and my Bersa UC9, they're all just different enough in sight picture, weight, grip, that I end up actually shooting less well than if I just take two or at most three that are similar. And even then there's less focus. Throw in an AR or my 10/22 just for fun and it really seems to dilute the effectiveness of the work, somehow.

Kind of works like that for me, as well. Years back, when I was competing and training, I used to spend an average of two hours daily at the range. I used to take a wide variety of guns, calibers, etc.

Nowadays, getting to the range on a regular basis is more important to me. I try to shoot one time each week, and find what works best is to select a single pistol caliber to shoot and, sometimes, a single long gun. Working on one thing keeps me much more focused.

Depends on my mood, the day of the week, what I got going on for the rest of the day. I like to clean my guns immediately after a range visit, so that heavily factors into it; don't want to sit around to clean 2 or 3 guns if I have a bunch of errands to run and am going out later. I'd say on average, I take 2.

Typically 2-3. Sometimes 4. Usually I have a shotgun, a rimfire, and if I'm at my parents house, I take along one of my father's centerfire rifles.

Usually two, however I've know to bring 9 and a cooler and make a day of it.

Just one. I would rather clean one at a time, and feel my practice/range time is better spent on one platform per trip. I go to the range fairly frequently, 2-4 times a month, so I alternate guns a fair amount. Don't shoot nearly as much per trip as I used to-200 rounds is about the maximum.

I only have four pistols, so they all go every time. If I'm going to an outdoor range there will be rifles also.

The clay target complex does not have any rifle or pistol range area so its just a shotgun when I go there.

Mark.

I loathe cleaning guns, so I never take more than 3 to shoot at any one time. Plus, it can be a pain to take more than 3 guns with all the accessories and ammo you have to bring. If you saw me going to the range you'd think I was going on an expedition with all the gear I take with me, not including the guns.
There is no formal shooting range in my area, so I have to take a portable shooting bench, sandbags, spotting scope, target stands, and sometimes a chronograph if I'm testing loads. Then there's still the guns, ammo cans full of ammo, and more ammo cans filled with various tools and cleaning gear.

Then there are times when I just don't want to bother with all that, so I'll just take a .22 or two, maybe one pistol, usually a .45, and only one ammo can full of ammo. Just right for a day of relaxing plinking.

I never bring more than 3, because most of my guns are varying calibers, it gets annoing to carry all the ammo, paperwork and locks/keys.
On top of that I find that anything more than 3 is just awkward, since I'm always the one carrying all of the gear.

it varies from trip to trip, and is dependent on why I'm going, how much time I have, and how many, if any, are joining me.

prior to hunting season, I'll just take my rifle to check the sights and make sure all is still in alignment.

when I'm going to have fun, I'll take as many as I can shoot in whatever ammount of time I have.

when I test a new handload, and/or gather ballistics, I usually just take what I'm working on, could be as few as one, or as many as five.

just depends on the pourpose of the trip.

10 to 15 and plenty of ammo, of course I don't shoot it all, Gooseberi shoots about half.
