I have a backyard range I shoot my .22 in quite frequently. Low round counts but usually at least 50-100 rds.
If I'm actually going "out" to shoot with friends, it becomes a big event. Most of my friends only have one gun, so I tend to bring extras. We do this about once a month, but we're not too regular about it.
On a usual outing, I'll bring one of my two mosins (50-100rds), my 870 12g (300+ rds), my carry gun XD9 (200-300rds), and my "sometimes" carry gun S&W 637 (25-50rds). I mix it up, but these are the usual playmates.
I tend to push my limits with the XD since it is my carry gun. I like to shoot it at mid-ranges (50-75yds) as opposed to close ranges(<50yds), since it is more challenging. We dont have too many places that go out to 100+yds or the rifles would get more attention.
Someone said they shoot more in the winter than the summer. It is reversed for me. In the winter, we are limited by the sunlight. In the summer, I end up 4wheelin way out in the middle of nowhere, and there is always a good place to stop and shoot a few mags.
