How many THR members own class IIIs?

Just something I've been curious about for a while. Can't be many class III owners in the general populace, but we're not exactly the general populace, are we?

I'd give the rate at ~1%, maybe 0.5%.


Of active members, probably closer to 5%.


edit; counting other NFA goodies like suppressors, SBRs and SBSs, I'd estimate 4% for total THR population, and 10% for active population.


Also, the thread should specify "title II," not class III.

That's what I was thinking about full autos, but I suspect if you factor in SBRs and suppressors it might be a bit higher.

So I can shoot full-auto in my state, but I have to be rude and noisy when I do it.

Yeah, thank God/Buddha/Nature/Jefferson/John Browning/no one in particular that that crazy kid in Omaha didn't steal a suppressed or FA rifle from him stepfather.

I mean it's still horrible what happened, and I don't mean to undermine incidents like this, but think of how much worse it would be from a civil liberties perspective.

Hil-bama would be saying, "clearly we need to prevent access to 'silencers', a device which makes a gunshot completely inaudible."

He does have a point. While I do have more information about myself online that most people, I control what I make available very tightly. While it's almost outside the realm of possibility that someone will track Randy down and jack his nice guns from an internet poll, it's still completely understandable that there may be things he doesn't want to tell a bunch of complete strangers.

I don't know why I checked the "show respondents name" box anyway, its not terribly crucial to the poll.
