How much accuracy do you need?

If I can shoot A's at 25yds in a USPSA match, I am a happy camper. Again, I know my carry/competion Kimber will shoot better than I can, and as long as that's the case, I won't be fussing with it.

So all these variables have something to do with what is good performance. For me, using M2 Carbines' performance he's so willingly shared, I would sacrifice some accuracy to pick up the speed. Personally, were 3 of my shots with my j-frame be in the forehead in a 2" group at five yards, I would also be satisfied if one other grazed one ear and the other 'off' shot parted his hair--and it wouldn't matter to me if the first shot was low and hit him in the mouth on the way to his brain stem.

Yes, I'm beginning to think the self imposed rules I've laid on myself are too restrictive.
I mean after all, I'm 70 and the reactions and eyesight aren't what they use to be.:D

When I got the timer I decided that I wouldn't trade accuracy for speed, so any shot out of the 4x6 inch circle on my targets, at any distance, is a miss and disqualifies the whole target. Thus some strings that had a fast time were disqualified because a round was outside the 4x6 or 3 3/4 inch circle.

The square white center of my targets is about 6.5x7 inches, about COM size.
I think in some shooting, maybe over 7 yards distant, I may use this whole center as the never miss area in some timed shooting.

Decent accuracy from the holster but way too slow.
I think I'll just have to start accepting hits in the white if I'm going to get the time down.
Fun working on it though.:)
