This is what we have stocked up:

    ~1k rounds of 9mm FMJ
    ~500 rounds of 9mm JHP
    ~1k rounds of .40 FMJ
    ~500 rounds of .40 JHP

Thinking of getting another 1k each of FMJ in 9mm and .40, maybe 2k of .40 since I shoot more than the woman.

    What do you guys have???

You say you shoot more than the woman, but how much do you shoot? That is the most important question involving how much ammo to have. Different people need different amounts.

How long does it typically take you to go through 1000 rounds?

    Right this minute?

Components for about 1200 rounds laying around.

Maybe 400 rounds actually ready to go.

Oh yeah??....Well, I've got about 6 or seven guns for each round I own. That way when things get hot, I can have a choice to fit the moment. Thought about getting 10 HiCap mags per gun per round but I've only got so much space in my super-secret nightstand drawer...

Between 14-16 k and components for 3-4k more.'let the panic buyers have fun, I have enough to stay out of the way until they calm down.

6,000 rounds combined for all calibers and enough components for 4,000 more.

Not all that many, but I have enough components for quite a few.
I have been buying reloading supplies a little bit at a time over the last several years.
I will not be part of the problem by panic buying and hoarding. :)

One half of a long tray of 22 LR Stingers (@ 45) and 7 rounds of OO. Think I will buy another 5 round box of OO. "Gun Kid" and I have plans--lol.

    Also this.

If I could afford it I would like VERY much to have 20,000 rounds each for my two main calibers (9mm and 5.56), to have on hand but not be part of my to-be-shot rotation...but there's just no way I can afford that.

I know how much I have, but nobody else needs to know. Might as well ask for my bank balances.

I have a good supply of 22LR ammunition, but sufficient amounts in other calibers that I commonly shoot. I don't burn up centerfire ammunition that quickly.

As one poster said, how much you have or what is "enough" is based on your shooting habits under normal use conditions. I personally have enough to last me a while unless I get kind of crazy with the centerfire stuff. But I seldom shoot more than a box of a particular centerfire caliber during any one shooting episode.
