Red Ryder BB gun at 8 or 9. Grandad gave me a brand new Remington 512 for my 12th birthday in 1948. Still have it and it still looks like new.

I was 22. It was an AR-15, then a Beretta 92, then a Ruger Mark II, then an Colt Anaconda .

Go big or go home, I was thinking at the time.

Age 7. Marlin 39a, of course to be used under supervision for a lot of years since we lived in town. Next year Daisy BB gun. lot's of dangerous tin cans around the yard.

Daisy BB lever action, age 7.
Marlin .22 bolt action with 4X scope, age 12
H&R Topper 410 ga. shotgun, age 13
Winchester .22 semi-auto, age 15 (my mom bought it for me with S&H green stamps)

A Rossi single shot .22/.410 when I was 12. Bought it with yard working money. Next was Savage .22lr bolt action and then Ruger 10/22 at age 13. At age 14 was the Walther g22, Baby Ealge 9mm, Marlin 30/30. At fifteen was the ruger M77 Mkii Compact in 7mm-08, Mosin Nagant, and Remington XR-100 22-250.

Mind you I bought all of these with my own money.

.177 pellet gun @ age 8?

410 shotgun @ age 9?

honda sport 50 motorcycle @ age 10

30lb flatbow somewhere around age 8

First handgun was a .357mag @ age 21, which I got rid of after buying and shooting 5 boxes of ammo in about 30 minutes...couldn't afford to shoot it!

I don't remember when I got my first 22rifle, but it was a glenfield model 60.

Crosman pellet gun at 9
H&R .410 at 10
Marlin .22 at 12

Used to wander my my grampa's 125 acre farm w/his old Winchester pump .410 or .357 Blackhawk since I was 10 or so. Grew up hunting & fishing with my uncles & nobody looked askance at a 10 y/o kid wandering around the wood by hisself, with a shotgun. Brought home a boatload of squirrels (fried, w/dumplings- YUM) that way.

39. I bought an AK47 receiver at my local gun show and discovered the joys of building your own AK47 out of parts kits and a receiver.

I'm almost 41 now.

At 10-years old I got a Daisey pump BB gun (no idea what ever happened to it) then at 12-years old I got a brand new Winchester Model 250 lever action .22 which I still have and care for to this day.

On my 18th birthday I was waiting outside my local shop for it to open. I had been saving money for about 3 months and eyeing a Mini-14 Ranch Rifle in their used rack. I'd go in about twice a week and try to hide it behind the other used guns so no one else would see it. I still have that Mini-14 too.
