When I was 6 my uncle gave me a Remington 700 BDL chambered in 30-06 :what: I didnt actually get to shoot it untill I was 10 or 11, it gave me a beating.
When I was 7-8 my Grandfather gave me a really old pump .22 that didnt work :(
When I tuned 10 I got a Daisy pellet rifle

Cajun Bass, those were good old shows!

I bought my own FIRST GUN in the middle of 1998. Glock Model 19C - 9MM. I was almost 48 years old. I am now 58 years old.

My late husband had a firearm for me to use. He only had a few firearms and I used 'his' for home defense. I used his 357Magnum. NO CCW back there or at that time. I started with one gun and ended up with about 13 guns or so! No huge collection. No safe queens. I shoot what I own. I owned more guns than my late husband when he died of cancer. However over the 30 plus years of marriage... he owned more sail and power boats than I 'officially owned'! Grin.

I was 8 years old when my Dad bought me a brand new Winchester 20A shotgun. This was after I tried his 12 GA. and it sat me on my ass. 1958.

I don't think BB guns count so my first was a J.C. Penny .22 rifle. Single shot. I was 14. I still have that gun, 49 yrs. later, needs a little cleaning up. I can't bring myself to part with it. I wonder what my parents paid almost 50 yrs ago? Maybe $20?

Of course, my first was the Daisey. I'm not sure of my age. About my tenth birthday, I appropriated the Savage mod. 24...22/410.(from my Dad). Hunted small game and did all my plinking with it and still have it in the safe.

The first gun I purchased was a Colt, Diamondback in .38 special...still have it, too.

Mark.

My grandpa gave me a Daisy Model 25 pump when I was 6. My job was to keep the blue jays out of the fig trees..........and I was good at it.
Got a Savage 24 .22/20 for Christmas at about age 13. It was great for rabbits and squirrels and I still have it. I wouldn't take $1,000 for that gun.

Roy Rogers and Sky King ? Man, you are talking about my Saturday mornings when I was a kid .

In '68 I was 13 and my Dad stopped off at Sears on the way home from work. He bought me a .22 single shot rifle and I still have it. He paid about $16 for it. :)

Daisy red Ryder when I was about 5 and Stevens bolt-action 20 gauge for Christmas when I was 11 (1956). ;)

Yup. I'm old! :D:neener:

First BB gun when I was 8ish. When I was 11, I got my #4 mk1 Enfield. My grandmother Enfield thought that would be a pretty cool thing for an 11 year old. She was right. BTW, my last name IS Enfield. :D

The first gun that was mine was an H&R 20ga shotgun when i was 14.

Cant remember how old i was when i first shot, i do know it was a BB rifle.

Started shooting my dad's .22 when I was 6. Got my first bb gun when I was around 8. Got a 20ga shotgun for my 10th birthday.

We lived in the country when I was a tad, and I got my first firearm for unsupervised use at age 7; it was a Winchester .22 RF single shot, a Model 67, if I recall correctly. It had a 27 inch barrel & iron sights.
