How rare is a Sig Sauer P6

Rare I tell you. So rare in fact that you can now find them for the rare price of $260.

Just a whole lot of fun for that kind of money. I heard someone mention 1400 imported, but don't know where that came from. They and the P-1s will sell out at some point and all of a sudden they will be appreciated.

Very usable as is, but I'll probably order an 18 lb spring and install at some point. Cost is more like $4 from Wolff. It is rumored that some have difficulty feeding hollow points, but my 83 model eats them just fine. Mine did not come with a holster or cleaning kit, but I've got what I need to clean it and it fits a holster already on hand.

What has recently become rare are the P225/P6 magazines and some parts. SIG has decided to discontinue quite a few of the parts that are specific to the stamped slide models.

CDNN has surplus P6 mags by the boatload apparently.

I got some about a month ago and they came in SIG factory packaging, and were like brand new.

Well, I've bought from Dan's for a few years and I did buy one of the P6's. I got to say that the double action on mine is only around 12. The single is 4. Sweet. Shoot through 200 rounds. My two son's shooting all but two mags worth. A keeper. My two sons like it as number 2 on there list, Glock 27 being number one. (I let them shoot my Makarov and Radom P64. They experienced the P64 bite firsthand. The Sig was a lot of fun and ate all the 9mm hollowpoints we feed it. A real fun pistol and cheap too!

I own and carry a Sig Sauer P225 (not specifically a P6). Both are similar, but the true 225 is going to be more rare than a P6 and typically a better finished pistol.

If want a rare German pistol buy a P-38 for the same money, the P6 is attractive though

The German Customs and Federal Police P6's have been (or are being) replaced by HK P30's and "covers approximately 30,000 pistols... and has a target for completion by 2011."

So we should see a pile more at about $250... depending on the Wunder Brady contingent. Then it's a feeding frenzy for the nice ones.
