How to you repair holes in an M1 carbine receiver?

I guess you roll your dice and get what you roll and that's the name of the game when you get milsurps. I recently traded for a beautiful WWII Winchester M1 carbine out of a gun shop and took the wood off and was shocked to see three, count them, three holes on the left side of the receiver. I instantly seen the value fly right out the window. I am guesing that I can measure and pitch the holes but I don't know who to order them from and since the value is shot I am kind of wondering if I ought to repark this thing in black if not gray. Little Gas threaded piston is over torqued and caused the thin area to split around the small hole. Piston doesn't shake like it's supposed to and I believe that it might be causing my occaisional failure to extract and eject. I am guesing that I can measure and pitch the holes but I don't know who to order plugs from and since the value is shot I am kind of wondering if I ought to repark this thing in black if not gray.

One good plug is the Brownell's Dome Head Positive Stop Plug screws. These not only look better, the head gives a positive stop so they don't move in or out.
