In my experience with the SxS 20 gauge the shot pattern is too wide for hunting beyond about 10 yards. However, with 40 to 60 grains of black powder and a .61 cal round ball punching large holes in lumber is great fun!
There’s a fellow who will jug choke muzzleloading shotguns 20 ga and up. Wish he worked on 28 ga as well as I want to have a barrel or two made up for my Lyman rifle.
