HI all I am in the market for a new deer shotgun, I have a mossberg and have

tried out a remington. I am looking for something different something that is still

a pump or a semiautomatic operating system in 12 gauge. Maybe an Ithica 37 or

something else like that.

Any suggestions, Thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Pumps:
Winchester 1200/1300/Speed Pump
Ithaca 37
Browning BPS
Benelli Nova/Supernova
Maverick 88
Mossberg 500
Remington 870

Autos:
Beretta 3901/391
Benelli SBE II
Mossberg 930/935
Browning Gold/Silver
Stoeger M2000
Remington 1100
Remington 11-87
Winchester SX2/SX3

My Benelli Supernova looks different but shoots well. Lightweight, but less felt recoil in 12 than my Dad's 16-gauge field gun with wood stock (probably their Comfortech stock.) Also much more affordable than the Benelli autos.

Have an old winchester 120 (think 1300) is same model
it can chamber and fire rounds faster than you can feed it cartridges
with no miss fires.
Good all round gun (use it for clay/skeet and live stuff)

ps if the same model watch for ejector spring comming out when stripping
gun for cleaning!

All of the above are good choices but other than the 870 and Mossberg 500, rifle sighted slug barrels are a little less common. The Remington 11-87 is pretty common with rifle sights.
