I dont think you'll be able to keep it to just one gun per year...I started with that in mind and in 2 yrs Ive got 9. Thats not a big number but at that pace, it will be big sooner than later.

Wish I could limit myself to one ANYTHING per year, let alone guns. I've done 8 guns in the last year, and countless pieces of related paraphernalia.

I refuse to limit myself to a set number of guns per year/month/week. I have a budget that takes care of that for me.

I already have all the guns I need......but I'll NEVER have all the guns I want!

You guys are lightweights. I've picked up five revolvers (all S&W) in less than three weeks.:neener:

S&W model 19
S&W model 520
S&W model 36
S&W model 642
S&W model 38-44

When I was a young man, and pennies were tight, a gun a year was more than I could do. :(

I have been making up for lost time the last couple of years. :D

I have more guns now, but I am not having more fun, just a better variety. :)

I commend you on your restraint, tblt, because 1 gun per year would just about kill me with anticipation. I'm one of those "research with my wallet" types, and I've practically bought one gun a month this year alone (and I bought four or five guns in the past year and a half before that, ever since I got into shooting). I actually wrote myself a reminder that I won't buy a new gun until Christmas.

No kidding, I'm approaching the "gun a month" schedule now lol.

It's worse than crack :)

I bought my first gun in late April 2008.

Now I have 4.

Back when I was working, one gun a year was about all I could do. Now that I'm retired, I have time to prowl gun shops more. This year I've bought about one a month. I've had to get a part time job to support my habit. Layaway is my friend.

The pushers....I mean dealers aren't any help. Everytime I stop by they've got something else. "Come 'ere...let me show you something....." Then they temp me even more..."You can have more than one layaway you know."

I think I'll wait 'till I get the one I've got in hock paid for first.

Tex,
"No kidding, I'm approaching the "gun a month" schedule now lol.

Whoa there. I wouldn't use guns and crack in the same post. The next thing you know, the gun grabbers will be claiming that gun enthusiasts use crack. :neener:

Hoppes #9 is MUCH more addictive than crack, I'm just sure of it :)

Maybe the anti's will get us a government funded program to help feed our problem.

I mean, it's not MY fault I buy these guns, it's societies fault!

Society has failed me, I buy guns because I'm angry and bitter

Are you guys married that buy a gun a month??????
It's all I can do to get a gun a year.

I'm married, but that isn't the problem. My daughter's schooling has kept my gun purchases down to only about two a month over the last few years.
