I have the dippers too! I’m also collecting Lee Loaders! waiting for the price to go back to $25

Yes LEE Dippers are the best in the business. :rofl:Not only have the individual ones that came with all the dies but have the complete set in original box with the slide rule chart!!
Lets see Dillion top this! I even made my own "custom" ones.

So I was told to send it (the whole item) back to them(I pay shipping) and they would fix of replace it (the whole item) for HALF PRICE so 1/2 of $55 is $27.50 and $10 to ship it USPS=$37.50! (this is just the drum part) (the whole item)
This is how I have dealt with Lee CS, not just a part, but replace the whole item for 1/2 price...

But then there is this:
So if you live in those States you are SOL I guess.

There are several options to obtain replacement parts:
1. Contact one of your favorite online Distributors. MidwayUSA, FS Reloading, Titan Reloading, and Graf & Sons stock our service parts. https://support.leeprecision.net/en/knowledgebase/article/online-lee-distributors

2. Purchase parts through our eBay store: https://www.ebay.com/usr/lpi1958?_trksid=p2047675.l2559

3. Directly through us, the first replacement part is free, you are just responsible for the shipping to your residence. You can place your order for the part(s) through our website. The free replacement part (limit 1 per part) will appear once you add the item into the shopping cart. Due to new out-of-state tax laws, we are no longer able to process orders to Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Utah, Virginia or Washington. Please use one of the other options provided.

4. Mail the part in to the factory at the address below for a no charge replacement.

So which one is it?????????????????

To be honest I have been very happy with LEE up till now. As I mentioned I have "all" their stuff and have loaded thousands of round of ammo in many calibers. Sometime the little things just get to ya..

I have had problems over the years with some kitchen appliances like Cuisinart and Mr Coffee. Heck they just send a whole new unit with a call tag to return the old one. The inside sealed light of the Cuisinart convection, air, toaster oven went out. I called them and they said light can not be replaced we are sending you a new oven!. ($200 oven)

My dealings forc warranty were 2 fold.
An auto prime hand primer casting broke and a 10mm carbide sizer die had the carbide cocked.

I took pictures as requested and got new replacements for both. They are still good by me.

I like Lee. When I started reloading a few years ago I bought Lee because of the price and kit setup. I bought it mainly because I didn't know what I was doing or if it was something I was going to stick with. Over 3 years ago was when I started and I've been loading accurate ammunition.

I just recently bought a set of Hornady dies that I haven't had a chance to use yet. Maybe after using something else I will decide to change my ways.

Yeah, shipping/postage on some tiny
something shouldn't be $10.00 + -
but it's just an unfortunate fact of life
in 2021. I haven't sent or received anything in a long time that wasn't at least $9.95 for shipping including some screws for something that couldn't be found anywhere else without mail ordering.

I happened to be going through some old
receipts for the shred pile, and found
this one ^ ^ ^ ^ and I thought of this topic.
I'm old enough that I remember when
a ten spot would ship a large heavy box
and a dollar or two would bring you a
padded envelope from the far corners of the nation

agree! that’s why I like doing business with small companies. But large companies like Amazon or Lee… they make you wait to talk with a human

The downside of companies like LE Wilson and Harrel's is you pay through the nose up front for the superior products and service. Not everybody can afford that, nor does the average guy loading for his Grandpa's 30-30 need that kind of equipment.

I’m willing to pay for quality… but for me, I’ll never be Rob Latham or Jerry Michalick . So Lee X 2 …Hopes and Dreams! just as good

I have a mix of stuff including Lee and LE Wilson because I load a mix of stuff like 30-30 and 224 Valkyrie.

I've never dealt with Lee customer service so I really cannot comment. I've used a number of Lee products with ultimately less than optimum operation.

But, looking at Lee's warranty and the cost of the basic product, I never felt the need to include Lee in my parts replacement journey.

The only Lee reloading gear I feel is worth anything is the Auto-Prime II (round tray hand primer). But even then, it was not robust enough to last a life time. I'd have two on hand, one for small primers and one for large primers. I'd break one about once a year and I could rob parts from the other to keep going on my reloading project. Depending on what failed, I'd then order a replacement Auto-Prime II or the single primer hand primer. I'd rob parts from the new units to get me back in business. This was in the 1980's before Al Gore invented the internet.

Lee dies are acceptable but I hate the o-ring lock rings. I needed die lock rings that locked to the die to maintain setting. Also, the Lee storage boxes were inefficient for my storage of dies. So, by the time I bought locking die rings and a new storage box from Lyman or RCBS, I'd have spent about as much as buying RCBS dies to begin with. By 1990, I stopped buying lee die sets. But, in current times, the prices have changed and Lee dies with my changes/additions/and upgrades may be more economical as in the late 1980's.

So, I stopped buying Lee products except for a few exceptions.

I like the Lee case trimmers but I have come to like WFT trimmers and L.E. Wilson trimmers better. The Lee trimmers have some issues tightening the case holders and trim with greater variability than the WFT or L.E.Wison trimmers.

The new die lock rings seem to have merit. I have a couple sets on hand but have not installed them yet to try them.

I do have a couple Lee aluminum bullet moulds that I like their operation.

I'm not a Lee basher but also not a fan. The only time I needed their CS was with a broken depriming pin on their universal depriming die. If I mailed the broken pin to them and paid the postage for a new one they would send me one. For about the same price I ordered 3 new ones from Midway.

In all fairness, that die is one of the best on the market. And cheaper than the others. My set of plastic dippers work great too! ;)
