Technically I don't have one, but if I did it would be because of "Training Day" Ethan Hawke used one.

I've always wondered though why it is the go to gun of action flicks? Or maybe that is my imagination.

Because it's very photogenic, and has a nicely placed hammer that cocks nicely for "dramatic scenes" - there's a youtube video where characters cock the hammer on a Beretta or pump a shotgun with every change of view - and it is reliable with blanks.

I shot my Beretta 92 FS with my son today. 150 rounds split somewhat unequally. Probably 100 for junior and 50 for me. Hopefully, he's going into the service soon and he could use the familiarity with the weapon.

That said, the Beretta 92 is a beautiful and reliable weapon.
