The Glock 22's grip sucks!
No.
You just need to practice shooting it more.
The human hand is a wonderful thing....it can adapt to virtually any handgun.
With practice, anyone can learn to shoot a Glock very fast and accurately.
If you go to a shooting school like Thunder Ranch you will see that the Glock works just fine.
Kimber Commander 1911 mag capacity sucks!
Which is why your Glock 22 is the better option.
Mouse guns suck in general!
I agree.
The smallest I would ever go is a snub-nose in .38 Special.
Revolvers have the same problem as the 1911 does.
Right!
So again, this is why your Glock 22 is your better option.
Shotguns aren't really an option and I already have one in the closet.
SHOTGUNS ROCK!!!
But they can be a bit awkward and unwieldy for home defense....which is why the Glock 22 may be the better option inside your home.
The gun is to be used in the car and the nighstand plus as a holster gun for target shooting and hunting, and I have gone through all of my guns, I can't find one of them that is perfect for this.
This where the Glock 22 might not be the best option for you.
Instead, I recommend the
Glock 27 subcompact, or the
Glock 23 compact.
I also debate the .40 vs the .45 and have been doing some research on different brands but I don't know.
Both calibers are good.
But if you want more magazine capacity, then the .40 is going to be your best bet.
What's your setup and what would you like for these tasks?
I had a Glock 22 and, in my opinion, it is nearly perfect as a home-defense/truck/range gun.
It's only real shortcoming is in concealed carry.
Which is why I traded it for a Glock 27 once I got my CCW permit.
Now the G27 serves are my home-defense/truck/concealed carry pistol.
For a small gun it is surprisingly accurate (nearly as accurate in my hands as my G22 was), and 10 rounds of .40 is not bad for capacity.
Besides, if I want more capacity for home-defense I can always use my G22 15-round mags in my G27.
It is not a great range gun but I'm a firm believer than one must practice with what they carry.
Good luck,
