I don’t think this one is going to turn out well

From what I can gather, an armed man was strangling his pregnant girlfriend after pointing a firearm at several other people who tried to intervene in the dispute. Another armed man shot and killed the alleged aggressor in the domestic dispute. Depending on what the cell phone video shows I wouldn't be surprised if the "good Samaritan walks free. Strangulation and pregnancy are usually elevating factors in domestics.

Yes, but the pregnant person is claiming she wasn’t strangled. I wouldn’t be surprised if the good Samaritan goes to prison for several years. He better pray that the video backs up his story and proves her a liar.

Yes, the video would be key if she has a different story than him.

Second degree murder and armed criminal action...

Court documents say Rathman was armed with a 9mm semi-automatic handgun and told Williams to leave several times.

Rathman cocked his gun while pressing Williams to leave, court documents say, When Williams returned to his vehicle that was parked in the middle of the street, Rathman positioned himself in front of Williams' vehicle, rested his arm on the hood of a nearby vehicle and pointed the gun at Williams while Williams reached in the car.

Williams retrieved a semi-automatic pistol from his car and as he stood up Rathman fired twice, hitting Williams at least once, court records say. Neighbors told the Post-Dispatch a day after the shooting that Rathman shot Williams in the head.

I guess the video didn’t corroborate his story.

Court documents say Rathman was at-large, and police did not immediately confirm Friday if Williams had been arrested.

That didn't take long.

Of course not.
Don't forget - this is the office of that SJW Kim Gardiner that tried to criminalize the McCloskeys for defending their property from rioters. She has had the case taken away from her office because she politicized the case, using it in her campaign literature, and it is now in the hands of a special prosecutor.

Hopefully some nearby house or business has surveillance video.

I carry a "spy pen", it's the size of a fat ballpoint and rides in my shirt pocket. Video is nothing to brag about, but if I'm ever involved in something that goes to court, it's better than nothing.
Could you please post a link to that item?

Or if she went to the ER and they found bruises on her neck.

Hardly comparable.

Won't help a bit, if the shooter did leave and return with a gun after the incident.

Plenty of companies make them. Even just typing spy pen into Google brings up quite a few with direct links to Amazon. Never did much interest for me, I don't have a shirt pocket where a spy pen would be advantageous. Pretty similar to the idea of a body camera when I worked in corrections. The footage protects both parties.
