In all honesty, I think the OP was joking. At least I hope so.
My best friend loves anything old and metal, while I prefer less weight, more accuracy and capacity. Have him pick a 9mm and it will be a Browning Hi-power. 45acp-1911, rifle- AK, SKS or Mosin.
Me-9mm-M&P. 45acp-1911, Rifle. Bolt or AR.
I razz him when we deer hunt and he uses a flint lock that couldn't hit a milk jug at 50yards, but I kill deer at 200yards. He gets mad and get over it. This is absolutely silly if your friendship is tainted over a stupid gun.
Hmmm ... Two threads now running , same op , both seem like chain yankers.
I'm not worried. That flint lock cant hit a 12'' shoot n c at 50yards, which has resulted in several wounded deer. I bow hunt a lot and even shot a nice 8pt off the ground at 30yards with my crossbow. The only thing I have against older equipment is the sometimes they lack of ethical kills. I'm not okay with shooting a deer with a homemade long bow and having the dowel rod arrow sticking 3/4 the way out of its side or using a 6ft rifle and hitting the deer in the rear end at 50yards and having it run off a die 12hrs later.Better be careful. Your friend is likely to start teasing you for not being able to get within 200 yards of a deer.
Wrap a revolver in play-doh and mold it to look /feel like a poly pistol. Maybe he won't notice?
Gift him a S&W 36, only fired twice, with box and papers. You know where to find it.
There's one way to make him see the light.
Put a .45 colt peacemaker or clone in his hands.
If that doesn’t do it, nothing will.
Get a glock21r.My love for all things wheel gun-nish has finally upset a good friend of mine. Ex Navy line coach, ship defense, boarding/search siezure, all this good stuff in the Navy; and he swears by a polymer high capacity 9mm. I finally broke it to him today. "I understand their 'advantages'... I just don't want one." I like 1911's and revolvers; and I can drive tacks with both of em. Ive absolutely sucked with anything "Glock" or anything that felt like a 2x4.
Anyways, how can I make amends with my buddy ? I like the dude as a friend and training coach, he and I just don't see eye to eye on some things ... like revolvers
