Reloading has always been a way to be able to shoot period, or shoot more, for a lot of people. Times are tough, things are expensive, ain't getting better any time soon, reloading should be looking real good for possible shooters right now.
I’m not arguing against your experience but mine is different and also legitimate. Here in VA, we flipped in just one election cycle from one of the more firearm friendly states to one closer to Bloomberg’s utopia (he financed a number of campaigns). And it’s not over yet.I shoot a lot of matches and train a lot of new shooters. Lots of young people out there, same as always.

Pointing out the continued influx of young people at the range is encouraging, yes, I see it too. But, it’s a self selection bias—it’s a range. Are those young folks also speaking out at public hearings? Nada. How are they voting? Are they voting? Are they influencers or influenced?
Are more ranges, gun shops, or reloading shops opening in suburbia where the population is? Nope. Are more or fewer corporations supporting shooting sports? Fewer.
I’m just sayin the trend isn’t our friend and this picture is coming to a theater near you.
I see this everyday , many young folks are getting involved . My last BR match was filled with young shooters , all made their own ammo and shot it very well . I was the oldest person there at age 59 , many were in their 20s and 30s .Definitely not interested in the politics. I'm talking about participation in the community.
And I'm not just talking about the range. Young people are seeking out training. They're getting involved in matches. They're making their own ammo. They're seeking out knowledge. These aren't shooters who are just buying a box of ammo, shooting a magazine, and then putting it away "until they need it." They're getting involved in the community.
I've heard "this is the trend" for a few decades now, and it's been the exact opposite.
Why is talking politics so taboo in our community! Don’t get it….. yeah yeah yeah, I get it, Time and Place.Definitely not interested in the politics. I'm talking about participation in the community.
