So I had my mind set on getting a Glock 26 until.........

I started to look at AR-15's. Something inside me is screaming to get one while I still can. I was looking at an Olympic Arms on Gunsamerica.com and for about $100 more than the Glock, I could get an AR. So now I'm not sure what to do. What do you guys think? Glock 26 or an AR-15??

What are you planning on doing with it? a 26 is a great CCW gun and an AR-15 is a nice SHTF or plinking/training rifle. Kinda like saying should I get a motorcycle or a pickup truck. :)

It is funny how one type/style of gun will appeal to a person. As already said. "what is your (use) for the gun?" I am amazed the Olympic is only $100 more then Glock....
The basic Glocks 26,27,17,19,22,23 run $450 area NIB. Depending on FFL fees/DROS (something like that in some states) etc. A good (assembled) AR is closer to $700 If you want chrome lined barrel, detachable carry handle, etc.

I already have a J Frame that I CC and I don't have a larger caliber rifle, but would love to have one! It would be just for plinking/SHTF sittuations, so I don't need a $2,000 AR. That is a lot more that I would use it for.

Also, Which AR would you guys recomend for a plinking/starter AR under about $700 or so?

And what's that supposed to mean Truebleu1776??

Umm, you actually NEED both, just a matter of which first.

That help?

I know I NEED both, I just need to figure out which one I want more right now...lol.

I say get the EBR while you can. You can postpone the GLOCK for some time, if you already have a carry piece.

If you don't have a carry piece then get the GLOCK and start saving for the AR.
