I want a 625 4inch.

I am looking for a S&W 625 with a 4" barrel. I would rather have a 25, but there are not many 4" 25's out there. I would prefer a fixed sight gun but...

I have to settle for a Adjustable sight gun and probably stainless.

Requirements/Specs
4" barrel
45 caliber, I reload for both ACP and Colt
Round butt would be nice
Prefer Hammer based firing pin
NO MIM
No lock
Moonclips
Grips can be changed.

What model do you have and/or recommend.

I am jonesin for a large bore moonclip gun.

4 inch Model 25s were made chambered in .45 Colt, but they don't use moonclips. The most common is the Model 25-5.

I have the 625 Mountain Gun in 45 ACP. It is one of my favorite revolvers! I think from what I have read on the S&W forum that even my 625 has MIM parts even though it is prelock. From what I have seen posted over on that forum it is much easier to find one in 45LC than in 45 ACP. There are several looking for the 45 ACP version over there at present so if you find one available you may wish to purchase rather quickly! These are some very accurate and reliable revolvers.
