considering the requirements to amend the constitution, i don't ever foresee that happening. The only way for government to 'infringe' on firearm ownership is to violate the constitution.

Don't know about that. We've got a ruling Party that is trying to turn the constitution into a post-it board of current issues, mostly revolving around government intrusion into the bedroom and people's souls. The Party and its Chairman seem to think they've got a good shot at it. Once that happens it becomes easier to do it again. I'm betting that the Eighth and parts of the First will be themselves ammended in the next few years.

They don't need to amend the constitution - the Supreme Court just tells us lowly serfs who can only understand plain english that it really means the opposite of what it appears to mean 
(for instance, free speech was only meant to apply to politicians and "trained" journalists, etc)
OTOH, on a state by state basis, we are not "losing" - gun rights are getting better in about 80% of the united States.

I haven't been around here for a while. I just got a new SKS and Ive been reading a lot in an SKS forum trying to learn as much as I can about it.
Back to the topic.
I wouldn't move, because I'm only 17. To tell you the truth I on't know why I would do, thats why I made this thread.... and I haven't read this thread yet because I've been busy lately (SKS, school, sports), but I'm going to read it right now.

Good show, and welcome! I certainly do not feel that you are a liar-- the point of my post was: 1- good question for discussion, and 2- more than one poster here thinks you are a "troll". If you are for real, please talk. No offense meant to real posters-- but I have good reason to dislike trolls, and will occasionally say so...

I hope you're all happy. I come here to read and learn, but I guess I'm not welcome. After reading page 4, I've decided to stop coming here permanently. People have busy lives, you know. Im not trying to make enemies by being a "troll." Im going back to the SKS boards where people are welcoming and friendly. Is "feeding a troll" what you guys call educating young people?

LoL. Dude, chill. You asked an highly politically charged question and then left. What many of us imagined was some feddy showing his buddy what in the world those "right-ist freaks" were thinking. All he had to do was post and watch the show
So don't worry about people being welcoming. They really are here. It's just that you exhibited some characteristics of troll-ness (which were untrue, mind you) and some people called it.
