Humm, 20,000 dollars ? Only two items.

    1 - U.S. 1917 Enfield 30-06
1 - A-C -130 Gunship (well I guess 20,000 dollars wouldn't even a down pament on a really used or shotup 130 now would it ?) (nice to dream about)

An Accuracy International boltgun with spare mags. Maybe even barreled or rebarreled in one of the 6.5mm cartridges (Creedmore for cheap factory ammo, or that European one b/c it seems marginally more accurate).

Scope and bipod for the same

    Laser rangefinder.

    A lever action .22

    Ruger Bearcat

Remainder of money on obnoxious newspaper and radio and internet ads anda nice little website skewering the Brady Bunch, et al. for being so lousy at predicting the future, contrasting with the NRA's predictions. Something along the lines of this approach (warning, about a 4-minute "ad"): link http://www.johnmccain.com/Informing/Multimedia/Player.aspx?guid=31599a83-8831-450f-8e8c-b3723daf58f9

A pair of birdhead griped vaqueros in .32 and the nice drilling that was in the cabinet at the gun shop today (double 12 over something around 8mm). That is about 8000 so the rest would have to go to ammo and reloading supplies. Then again there is always something else that I would like to own as I see them.

I have pretty much all the guns I want or need. Of course, we can always use more, but I'd probably spend about ten grand on ammunition and reloading components.

Another five grand goes into a high-rate-of-return savings account, to pay for gas, motels, and match fees for all the 3-gun matches I go to in the next two years.

Another five grand for some training classes. USSA Competition Multigun, maybe another course with Max and Travis, maybe another trip to Blackwater...

The very first thing I would do is update my insurance policy so that all of my guns -- including the new ones I'd want to bring into the fold -- would be covered in the event of a (for want of a better word) incident. I'll wager that many of us have far more tied up in our firearms than the average homeowner's (or renter's) policy would cover.

I'm comfortable with what I have. No, I'm not rich or anything like that, just taking it day by day like everyone else. I would donate the money to an organization that helps children with cancer.
Today, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital refuses no child. Danny Thomas (Now deceased) began the reseach hostital to offer hope to thousands of children who are battling all types and rarities of cancer. His daughter Marlo Thomas continues her father's legacy. Bravo to the Thomas family!...;)

    Sorry Guys,

Twenty Big would retire all the debts I currently have, which would free up several hundred bucks/month I'm paying in bills that would go away.

    Hope y'all understand.

Not as much ammo as I thought at first

I am all about pistol shooting so I would commit to training and this means ammo! But first I would have to pick a caliber (9mm, 40s&W, or 45acp) than buy the appropriate sig.

I figure that if I wanted to shoot about 200rds a week. At this rate 9mm would last me about 8.5 to 9 years, 40 would last 6.5 to 7 years, and 5.5 to 6 years. The margin for error is allowed based on the fact I that I might not shoot every week and I would want to spend a little money on steel plates and such.

Answering the question no one asked! and your Welcome ;)

I'd spend 10,000 on that 50 BMG I've always wanted(and ammo) The other 10,000? Ammo for everything else I already have.
