If you were going to spend $1100 dollars on a gun/guns what would you buy? It can be one or multiple guns, no accessories/ammunition/scopes just guns.

You have to spend all (or very close to all) $1100.

A really nice Colt Python. Plus dinner and drinks for me and the GF to celebrate our new arrival.

Wow, great timing: I'm doing precisely that (spending $1100 +/-) tomorrow, so I'm pretty interested in the responses as well :)

Thanks,

Buy a CMP M1 Garand or M1 carbine. Then buy a bunch of ammo and mags/en bloc clips. Just remember that you'll want to have ammo too.

for $1100 including tax, 6 inch GP100 and Puma 92 18" round barrel, both in stainless and 357 magnum

Today, it would be S&W revolvers, preferably older ones, in .22LR, .38 Spl. or .357 Mag. I can't tell you which ones; I'm not good at predicting which cool revolvers will appear for sale on any given day.

That is a great plan but it would cost you at least twice that.

And dinner isn't included. ;)

Walther P88, full sized, with at least two mags and the case and original manual and test target and the like. NIB would be even better. That would be $1,100 well spent and worth every penny.

Smith & Wesson .45ACP Model 625 JM. Throw in some Crimson Trace Laser Grips.

OK, so that'll run closer to $1,200. Guess the wife & I will just have to skip on some dinners out. Oh well....

If someone gave me $1100 and told me I must buy a gun strictly for the "fun" category, I'd look real hard for a 6" nickel Colt Diamondback, or a 7.5" nickeled SAA in .44 Special or .45 Colt

Picked this up for $480

A really nice Colt Python.

The last really nice Python I found was $2,100.

I'd try to get a nice S&W 586 (or 581) and a nice S&W 17. That would take every bit of $1,100.
