If you had to choose a rifle and a handgun to go into a battle/armed conflict ?

I think so. They're not any part of the military...They're trained civilians if you think about it.

Merc's can do whatever they want.

But the consequences can be dire. The 13 or whatever got caught in that one country trying to help over-throw the country all got hung or something. (I can't remember.)

I think the military has it about right with the M4 and M9. I might prefer a G21 over the M9 (although I own and like an FS Brig in 9mm).

I like being able to carry a lot of ammo though so the .223 and 9mm allows me to do that more easily than other, larger calibers.

I got to have more information. I need a time line for deployment and a size of enemy combatants. I need the time of year and time of travel (day or night) I need to know what the end result is to achieve.

More info please.

Well, since I'm happy with what I'd own, and they're what I practice with, I'd have to take them over with me. Let's go with my Sig AND 1911 (different holsters. No dual-wielding...just one to back the other one up in the event that in the thick of it, if I lose one, I still have the other), my AR (with a few more accessories, such as a good red dot sight and flashlight of some time), and my shotgun loaded with slugs.

my 1911 and Bushmaster M4 are probly he best for covering different scenarios as fairly well, as much as that is posible.I shoot the 1911 well, and and have no issues with .45acp being a pretty good round as far as handguns go, and the M4 is light, versatile, manueverable, and pretty accurate. I'd personally prefer something in .30 as opposed to .223 for a little extra umph, but then at the same time, you lose out a bit with ammo weight, mag capacity, and recoil, so not real sure on that.I'd have to actually shoot an M4/AR in .308, 6.8spc, ect to see if the weight/recoil is actauly much of a factor for me personally or not.

M4 or AK (its a toss up). And for handgun i hate to say it but Glock (sorry i dont really like polymer handguns glock fans)

i would take my AK and my XD45 service.

i would have a tough time choosing between the ak or the ar but if i had to trust my life to a gun that i may not be able to clean everytime it needed it, i would grab the ak. and i am dead nuts accurate with the xd.

Glock 17 (near-universal ammo, reliable, cheap replacement parts)
LMT MRP with their gas piston system (versatile barrel/caliber options)

I have no preference, so long as I have a combat wheelbarrow to carry it in.

I'd also like one of those tax free $3.843,000/year paid-to-a-numbered-offshore-account contractor jobs, tyvm.

Red Ryder BB gun (with the compass in the stock) and my trusty Star Trek phaser (set on 'stun' of course) since such scenerios are mere fantasy anyway....

If a war ship cannon for the rifle doesn't count, then I'd pick a .50 BMG to snipe them (you didn't think I was actually brave enough to engage close up did you?,

and a really loud fog horn as my side arm. Those things are scary, how loud they are and all! I could probably sneak up behind them, blow it, and scare them to death.

SIG 551 SWAT Carbine and HK USP .45

I second that opinion. That's almost what i've got already, minus the select-fire capability of the 551.

Sig 556 w/ folding stock and 3x ACOG
HK USP .45 w/ night sights:D

M-109 A3 155 MM. howitzer & M-16 A2 .

Given that's what I'm trained on, that's probably what I'd do the most good W/.

20" FAL and CZ-75 SP-01. If I'm in a situation where a rifle is "standard equipment", I'm not going to be concerned about concealing the pistol...

And BammaYankee... "You'll shoot your eye out, kid!"

My 1911 and Remington 700 30-06 or M1917. With ether of these rifles I can then get one of those black plastic rifles and ammo.
