If your main carry pistol is a 1911 type: end of day storage?

Any weapon stowed with a bullet in the chamber, in the event of a fire, could "cook off" and will send the bullet down the barrel.

That is so low on my list of priorities that I can't even quantify it.
I suppose if it bothers you that much you could get yourself a clearing barrel and story loaded guns in it, sort of like an umbrella stand or cane bucket.
