I bought a sealed can of Igman 62gr steel core loaded on stripper clips in 100rnd bandoleers.

The stripper clips (along with the mag feeder tool) worked great. I never used stipper clips to prep a mag before but I dont think I will ever go back to the one at a time method.

I was using pmags and noticed the feeder tool left a pretty deep groove on the mag. The pmags do appear to have a notch formed into the body of the mag to accept the feeder but it still left a decent scratch in the grove. Is this going to eventually cause a week point to develop? What is the proper name for the feeder tool?

I also noticed a safety pin was attached to each bandoleer. Does it have a specific purpose or is it just a nice thing to throw in?

The ammo grouped well with a 20" 1x7 AR but did not cycle well. It would eject fine but would not always pick up another round from the mag. I had 4 20 round pmags and it happened with all of them. When it did cycle, it would not hold the bolt back when empty.

Anyone use Igman 62 gr and have the same problem?

I also noticed the green tips left a lot of residue on the bolt face/lugs and feed ramps. Is the paint specially designed not to impede function or is it common knowledge that the paint causes problems.

Also, I lost a few pmag covers and would like to order a few replacements. Anyone know where to get some online?

I haven't seen ammo cause a feeding problem; except for something like a hollowpoint in an auto pistol. Have you tried other mags?
