Ditto about preferring a lesser investment. When stuff reaches a certain price threshold, I start to worry excessively about scuffing it, dinging it, scratching it etc. It becomes a distraction.

meh, maybe its just me but I would rather have 4 1k ARs then 1 4k AR.

Not me. I huck it behind my seat every day to get covered in dog hair, etc.

Not me. I always opt for the best of things. I only go the best restaurant in town, because I would rather have one killer $200.00 meal than 20 $10.00 meals.

We all have our own priorities.

Does this restaurant serve gold nuggets in the steak?! J/K. Even though I would rather have a bunch of different guns instead of that one, nice AR.

I love them, and that's what counts.

I'm not doubting you love them, I did the same to my AK to "tactical" it up. :)
Don't worry, If I had that kind of money to spend on a AR I would most likely do the same. I would not buy so many 10 rd mags, would have invested in a ton of ammo, and I'm sure you most likely do.

I don't have any 10s. My 20s are to keep the $1/pc rounds in for quick access at the range (20s in case I feel like shooting prone).

pretty cool rifle you have there. by the time i'm done dorkticooling mine, i'll have about $2k into it. i just can't see putting more than that into one gun that i'm actually going to use. to each his own though. if thats what makes you happy then more power to ya, and enjoy the heck out of it. its your hard earned money. spend it however you want. after all, there are lots of things we spend lots of money on that make us happy that we'll never recoup. cars, golf clubs, boats, etc etc etc. if guns are what puts a toot in your horn, go for it, i say!

Bobby

p.s. what, no PEQ-2? :neener:

I'm a simple AR owner: Aimpoint and bayonet.

If that floats your boat, fine. Without proper training, you just wasted $4K. All that equipment won't save your ass in a gunfight.

My god, how heavy is that thing??? Can you even find the trigger? Does it even fire? or are all those lights to blind the perp? You look like you have a 3,000,000 candle light blinding machine. When the casing ejects does it even get out of there? or does it just bounce right off a flash light and back into the rifle?
