Shot 6 days at the NBRSA group nationals...

Around 300 record shots, and a bunch of sighters, out of three different rifles, with all the attendant crap to deal with.

My 100 yard small group 5 shot was 0.158 (I think...), and 10 shot was 0.290 (still working on the unlimited rifle). Small at 200 was 0.300 for 5, and 0.33something for 10 shots (great group).

Came in fifth for the light varmint 100 yard class - Five targets for an 0.2004 aggregate - three of the groups were under 0.200.

All rounds were loaded out of my trailer. Also saw some neat handloading gizmos, which I may be telling y'all about. Didn't see a single Dillon press. Saw a bunch of customs, RCBS, and a few Lees...

Bought an old Texan 7-station turret press from Guy Chisum's estate. If anyone knows about these, or where I can get some primer tubes, etc., I'd appreciate it. Already smashed a finger with it - it weighs about 50 pounds. Also picked up an RCBS 10.10 scale - The digital dealies just weren't accurate enough in the trailer.

Wow! That's some excellent shooting!

"Came in fifth ... an 0.2004 aggregate"
Are you sure the 4 guys ahead of you weren't running out and just poking holes in the target? That is fine shooting by all of you.

What calibers do you use in the various classes?

I shot two different chamberings (two different gunsmiths' reamers) of 6PPC. Billy Stevens' reamer (Grizzly action with a Hart barrel) was decidedly smaller than Ron Hoehn's (Panda in a Six stock and a Grizzly microport in a Rush River rail, both with Shilen barrels)... I shot the Stevens rifle for everything but the Unlimited (shot a rail for that) and the 200 yard Heavy...

Lapua .220 Russian brass, neck turned (dual K&Ms) and fireformed.
Federal primers
V133 (most of the time) and an older lot of 8208.
Bart's "Ultra" 68 grain match bullets (get 'em from Sinclair's).
Carstensen sizer die (in an RCBS JR-3 press for the Stevens rifle) and Harrell sizer dies (in a Harrell press for the Unlimited and in an RCBS Partner for the HV - both Hoehn rifles)
Wilson/Sinclair Micrometer seater for the Stevens rifle, and Carstensen seaters for both the Hoehn rifles.
Lube was Imperial die wax. Cleaned the primer pockets with one of Skip Otto's adjustable carbide uniformers, wiped the necks with 0000 steel wool. Inside of the neck got a nylon brush. That's it.
Powder measure is a Harrell Premium. Was running 54.5 clicks most of the time, with either the V133 or the 8208.
Mike and caliper were both Mitutoyu.

FWIW, Tony Boyer won the 2-gun, the 3-gun and the 4-gun... All eight yardages averaged under 0.24 MOA.

And here is the reason why I'm beat... First two days were spent lugging this monster around...
