Don't know if this should be here or in the handloading section so moderators feel free to move it if necessary.

I hand load because I can tailor the ammo to the gun. My group sizes tighten up nicely as I match the bullet, powder and dimensions to the rifle. I get confused when I read ads from various rifle manufacturers which state "every rifle is test fired" and "guarantee sub moa accuracy" or "every rifle guaranteed to shoot 3/4 MOA" and on and on. How can they do this with generic factory ammo? Isn't the ammo not necessarilly matched to a particular barrel?

Most of the time in the fine print you will see were it states what ammo was used is required for accuracy. Some firearms do have very good accuracy with just about any brand/type ammo but you have to pay for this.
Always check out the fine print on MOA firearms.
