I drug my girlfriend to the gun store today (who, btw, used to be totally against guns) and while there I heard her exclaim "I want THAT one!". It was a S&W, 1911 style 9mm, don't know the model. She then pointed out a Glock she also likes. She then proceeded to tell me she wants to get a CHL when she turns 21! Wow, looks like I'll have to buy her a gun this summer! :D

Do we have you to credit for the conversion

Well, me and my old boss helped to convert her, she was actually pretty easy. At first she said when we got married there would be NO guns in the house. We took her shooting and she loved it, she fired a few through the .22 then went to my bosses AK. Then I bought my 12 guage and she could actually hit stuff with it and she got even more excited. She is even to the point that she will let me keep my 12 guage next to the bed (loaded but unchambered). The only thing she has against guns now is that she thinks the money could be better spent on diamonds or her sugar gliders. :D

hey synoptic, if you screw things up and she dumps you, (god forbid!) she'll have plenty of single THR'ers tracking her down.

dont......screw.......things......up!

devilishly innocent smile. . .

I'd be more than happy to show/teach her some takedown moves!

(one recruit shy of a toaster oven!)

(Ducking, and running like mad!)

:D

Present her with an engraved Les Bayer?

Outstanding, synoptic! Well done! :D

Aren't sugar gliders cute rodents that hide in your pocket and make a click noise every time they crap in it -- sort of like an anti's version of a way underpowered mouse gun?

Spaceman - I've made it 5 years, hopefully I can keep from screwing up until we graduate, then she'll get the ring she deserves..

Trisha - She beats me up enough as it is, PLEASE don't teach her :uhoh:

Blackhawk - sugar gliders are actually marsupials, and they are quite cute, I actually did dip into my gun fund a tad so she could get both of them at the same time, they're wonderful pets.

Now the only question is to tell her before pr after I buy her a gun that SHE gets to clean it...hmmmm...

All I can say is that if you start hearing wedding bells, Register at Joe's Gun Shop. Think of all the cool wedding presents there would be! :D :D :D

Sample "Gift Registration List":
1911 Holster...$35
10 Boxes 9mm Ammo...$50
Glock-17...$450
Laser Sight.......$150
Ect...

LOL Trisha-

I *think* I got that joke.

Maybe I'm influenced by where I live.

If I did get it; two more and you get the t-shirt AND the bumper sticker...:D

You FOOL! Do you know nothing at all about women?!?!? NEVER, EVER give a girlfriend a gun!
2 words:
Phil Hartman...

That being said, my wife knows where the guns are. She knows how to speed load the .357 in case of an intruder. But, she prefers the G17 for plinking.

She held my brand new S&W1911 today; can't even rack the (admittedly very tight) slide! She's a very thin girl.

She wants a Springfield XD9mm for herself (she likes the grip safety!)

We can't wait to get our 7 week old ready to meet Eddie the Eagle! But we gotta wait quite a while...:)

Congrats on that, keyhole, I'd love to build a range one day. I do have a suggestion, though...take that hint off your website. Someone may have access to a member's card knowing that the password and gate combo are the same gives them access to both your range and the restricted area on your site. It is just my opinion, take it as you will... :)
