All of these post make no difference. The only real truth is the voting booth. Nothing else matters. If you want to keep your 2A gun rights then vote for them and the candidate that will support them. Any thing else is shameful hypocrisy. Just cheap talk. 2A is very close to be taken away. I mean a very good chance. Go to the voting Booth, stand tall, be proud and vote to keep our Constitution and our long heritage of Gun ownership.
I think you’re missing the point to some degree. Voting for gun rights isn’t something you can do individually, it’s a package deal with other conservative/republican stances that aren’t appealing to all.
The point of this thread is we need to find ways to bridge gaps with other people and make guns a less “conservative” stance and make them more universal. We need the second amendment viewed similarly to the first, where it’s not a political stance, but one universally embraced.
We can’t expect to convert liberal voters to conservative, we need to help shift the liberal idea on guns to hope to change the liberal stance in general. We need liberal voters telling their liberal representatives “hey, leave our gun rights alone” or, better yet, “stop restricting my 2A rights”.
We need a broader appeal than just single issue voters and conservatives.
