Here in upstate NY they do ask if it's for a handgun...I think once after that someone asked me my date of birth,and put it in the register.
Once the 100 box of 9mm were missed marked as $8.14......I realized it and said I'll take all you got.6 boxes....then I had to go another register(it was 7am)......so I go up,the cashier says"thery're ringing up $10.97"I go"isn't there some law that if they're marked different,you HAVE to sell them to me at that price?"She looks at me like a deer caught in headlights and says"OK".......so I skip out,and off to work......just for the heck of it I stop on the way home....4 more miss priced boxes!!!!This time after the kid at sportingoods rings me up,he tells his buddy to check all the ammo prices.
Once someone escorted me to the front,a kid,like 16....I'm thinking "what's this kid gonna do if I did have evil intent,besides be my first victim?"
If they REALLY cared about their employees being hurt or shot,they should have them sell you ammo,and dive behind the counter yelling"Don't shoot me,please"( maybe they do this in Mass or Cali )
Now what I don't understand is TARGET stores.....they don't sell ammo,or gun magazines.......they're named TARGET for crap sake!!!
