I'm a vet. 1968-1972.
Ted Nugent dodged. Nowadays he has spent more money than I've earned in my entire life to support the troops and our RKBA. His money is very much where his mouth is.
John Kerry "served." Do I really need to explain how simply "having served" is not a measure of a man's character? How about John Murtha? He "served."
Kerry is, to this day, working with the enemies of our RKBA.
Nugent works with the USO on his own nickel, entertains the troops, actively supports their families, works with wounded veterans in programs to help them shoot and hunt again.
He didn't serve in uniform. Nonetheless he actively serves those currently in uniform.
Those who get hung up on the "didn't serve" issue would do well to examine their priorities.
Ted has a bullhorn that he funds himself, he's a high profile man with a broad range of connections, a large audience, deep pockets, a rabble-rousing spirit and he's on our side.
He spends his money defending our rights. Loudly. On a national stage.
Maybe for some, that's not redemption.
Me? I'll take it.
We need all the help we can get.
