I've got a couple cans of 50BMG brass laying around, all once fired, I think through an M2, but I'm not sure. Anyone know if it's worth reloading, or what reloaders pay for the stuff?
Hell yeah it's worth something! Ever seen the price of .50bmg ammo? It can certainly be reloaded, and if you don't want/need it it's absolutely worth offering it up for sale. I personally don't know it's value or have a need for it, but don't throw it away! SOMEBODY wants it! Probably one of the most valuable of all brass cases out there, IMO.
FloppyD, It depends on the military weapon it was fired in... the throat erosion on some MG's is too much for my dies to re-size without being a PITA. But, that being said, of course don't throw it away. I have other calibers of brass I will trade to you for the .50 stuff. P/M me if you are interested. Thanks, MG
with the price of .50 cal empties it is almost worth my time and energy to walk the ranges with a metal detector and pick up the empties they miss, if only i had a tumbler large enought i would go in business
Wow, never heard of that book but I'll check it out. The quotes are from Raising Arizona, which is a really funny Coen Brothers movie (thought it was dull the first time I saw it, was laughing so hard I could hardly breathe the second time...go figure).
Now I have to go check out Shibumi so I don't feel like some kind of troglodyte...
