An old thread but i didnt think my post was worthy of a new thread.

When i first started shooting i bought a few things from cabelas because i cant find my dads stuff. He has all the stuff i needed somewhere in the house we havnt been able to find it (40 years of junk)

Anyway i got one of those starting kits with a 51 it came free so it didnt hurt to take it.

I still use the wrench, shot up all the balls pretty quickly along with the felt wads.

Most of these kits come with a flask, cheap flask i wouldnt recomend using it for powder specially loading from the flask to the cylinder these are not safe. I dont do it even with a good flask.

Anyway i was talking to Phil a few days ago when i picked up the ROA. He always mentions filler, he said a good accurate load for the ROA is 20g swiss and filler. I mentioned its one extra step ide prefer to skip along with all the junk that ide need to measure it out and what not. He gave me anothe rgood tip use a cheap flask with a pre measure tip! PERFECT! I had this black plastic one that throws about 14g of filler. About 20g of powder and about 14g of filler is just perfect!
