Our state police academy uses the aluminum for practice ammo and it hasn't had any major issues. I've used the Blazer Brass with no issues through my 1911's and m92. Have a couple boxes of it in 40 but haven't gotten around to it yet. I have some mental block about using the aluminum or steel cased stuff in my guns.
I definitely need to get more .45 Blazer Brass in the next few days myself, I have no issues with the brass cases. Although, I have never tried the Blazer Aluminum ammo.
Everything semi I have ever had has chowed down on aluminum Blazer. I used to buy it by the case, until Wal-mart became the cheapest game in town with WWB.
my old Hi-point .380 loved the Aluminum cased JSP stuff my local ammo store sells, more accurate than the federal PD +p stuff and my 995 carbine shoots the brass much more accurately than WWB Magtech or wolf. who would think the cheapest guns shoot the best with the cheapest ammo.
My G19 likes the aluminum blazer from Academy. It has less smoke than WWB, and the groups seem a bit tighter, too. I've probably shot 4K rounds of it with no problems.
Fired many thousands of 9mm and .45 Brass-case Blazer in a variety of guns. The cases reload well.
Recently CCI started giving Blazer it's own headstamp (Used to all be CCI headstamp, now there is a BLAZER headstamp).
The cases are consistently the cleanest cases after tumbling. Very little residue.
The aluminum stuff shoots well too, I even had a couple boxes in .44 Magnum that I shot a year or so ago in a Ruger SRH and it was fine.
I reload everything now so I only buy factory .22's.
I shot maybe a thousand rounds of it thru my 686 before I started reloading and never had a problem with it. Took a coupla deer with it even. Both were shot within 15 yards and both dropped within 35.
I've used the aluminum case Blazer in .45 ACP & 9MMx19
I'd have to also have a box of WWB bulk to see which one is
dirtier. Some shops only carry the brass case Blazer on the
shelf around here, which is within 25 miles or so of the
CCI/Speer (or whatever corp. bought it ) in Lewiston ID.
Just fired off 100 rounds of Blazer 10mm auto 200gr flat nose out of my Glock 20 with no problems. It was the aluminum cased stuff. Not too clean but not too dirty. Seemed to pack a good punch too.
