Is it just me, or is this a very silly product?

I never realized that it was unsafe to carry a Glock with the standard 5.5# trigger (I even-GASP-carry one with a 3.5# connector!), but apparently it is.

It's apparently far safer to carry a Glock with a 22.5# first trigger pull. I can only imagine how much better I would shoot with a trigger about seven times what I normally shoot; just imagine how SAFE this would be-unless you're anywhere near the place I'm aiming, probably.

Wow, some folks will never get that there is NO trigger weight that is safe if you don't keep your finger off it when you're not supposed to shoot. Lord, save us.....

So you break it every time you use it. Hmmmmmmm...

What I read was an 11.5 trigger pull, not 22.5.

Not for me either way.

Edited to add: Yes, it is a silly product.

Maybe this will put an end to all that glock leg that's going around:neener:
Absolutely useless if proper gun handling and rules are followed.

Just like the Siderlock it's stupid and unsafe. Any device that's made to be shoved into the trigger guard of a pistol is a bad idea. No matter how you look at it, it's a bad idea.

It is a lot safer to carry a Glock with a 22 pound trigger, its just very unsafe to fire it.

Ah, but you have to investigate the drop-down boxes, Johnny...the 'black' model adds 6#, but the 'yellow' model adds 17#.

You know, we bitch all the time about all the lawyer-mandated crap, like LCI's and 'chamber viewing ports' and such that manufacturers put on their guns, and it makes me wonder how a company can make something so patently dangerous* and remain in business.

(*Either it fails to prevent a kid from pulling a trigger, or it prevents an adult from doing so. Either way, it's encouraging adults to leave firearms within reach of children with nothing but a 'strength test' to prevent an ND.)

The mind boggles...would a 50# trigger be EVEN safer?

Yes, but if only Plaxico Burress had of had one in his Glock when it slipped down inside his baggy pants and he grabbed for it?

Never mind!

If you want a heavier first shot, then there are plenty of traditional DA/SA pistols to choose from. Sig, Beretta, CZ, S&W all come imediately to mind. And any of them are safer than this dumb thing.

Plaxico Burress probably could work with a 50lb trigger, so maybe there is a market after all.

We could just take the triggers and ammo out these things.

It increases the "1st shot only" by either 6 lbs or 11 lbs depending on what you select. Shots after that revert back to the standard pull weight. If you select the 6 lb option that gives you roughly the same trigger pull as any other DA guns 1st shot. About the same pull as most DA revolvers that have been used for more than a century. This has long been accepted as a safe, and useable trigger pull weight.

Not for me, but I don't see it as that big of a deal either way.

Not so much for the added pull, but for the fact that you have to slip this thing behind the trigger, which could result in a AD, if not done properly.
If this is the type of trigger one desires, then one should select a weapon designed for it in the first place.

It's kind of like trying to turn your Corolla into a Jeep. Just get a Jeep, if that is what you need/want.

No, it adds either 6 pounds or 17 pounds to the first shot. I think that would exceed even my Makarov's pre-trigger job pull weight.

Except Corolla's don't explode...:)

I don't own a Glock, so I don't know, but is there a reason you would have to install this thing while the gun is already loaded?

Still, I think it's no more than a marketed solution to a non-existent problem.

Unless you are switching to "G" for the first time and are used to carrying a SA/DA useless would be a HUGE understatement.

The 1911 world has long been filled with useless aftermarket bolt-on crap advertised to make the gun shoot better but in truth delivering the exact opposite result. Now I guess it's Glock's turn.
