I carry a SIG P220 or P226 IWB at 4 o'clock in a Tommy Theis holster. I carry either of the SIG's primarily during the winter months, but carrying during the summer is doable with cargo shorts and an un-tucked t shirt.
I could carry it, I just would not want to. I'd have to move it off of my 3:00 more to 5 because the magazine length would print on me and I really don't want to carry anywhere a fall could hurt me a lot. I also think it would get old carrying anything that heavy. Nice gun but its big and heavy.
It's a huge gun for a CCW. Dress around the gun, select a heavy gun belt, use a quality winged holster, be ready to tolerate some discomfort and you'll be fine.
I am 5'10" and 195lbs. , my P220 is perfect for me. If I am wearing an untucked tee shirt I opt for an OWB Fobus Paddle holster. My IWB was custom made by a local in my area and is comfortable to wear. I have only been called out once on my pistol. It was by a deputy at a local store, and I was carrying it OWB. He and I are friends and he has been well aware that I go NOWHERE without my Sig, laws providing.
I carry a SIG 220 Carry pistol in a Galco "King Tuck" iwb holster comfortably and well-concealed most of the time (admittedly, this set-up doesn't work that well on the beach, but I have a Ruger LCP for those occasions).
