Is the .32ACP Underrated?

Mike (and others)- how do you conceal a Sig P232/ comparably sized 9mm or .380?
I'm very active in my job, in other people's offices installing PC equipment, and wear polo shirts tucked into khaki's most days.
I pocket carry my P32, and can't get a comfortable way to daily carry my P11 or Sig P232...
Suggestions?

I have an inexpensive Bianchi soft IWB holster for the 232 right now. I can only carry where I can wear a concealment garment, which is OK for now as it's winter and I am usually wearing a sweatshirt.

I ordered today a High Noon "Closing Argument" that should allow for concealment just with a tucked in shirt in the summer.

The 232 is also so small and thin that I can just slip it into my waistline and it conceals nicely. It won't stay there, though (nothing like cold stainless sliding down your leg!) - so I also ordered a "ClipDraw" clip so I can play with holsterless carry as well. $20 - and it will fit any of my guns easily. I plan on using that in the heat of summer when dress is really light.

I figure with the 232, the High Noon, and the ClipDraw I will be able to carry "always" - at least that's the goal.

I have also heard good things about the Defender belly band. It's like $32 or so and seems to be very flexible in it's configuration options.

.32acp Handguns

What would be some gun models to look at that are chambered in .32 ACP?

;)
Colt 1903 Pocket Model
Walther PP
Walther PPK/s
Walther PPK
Beretta Tomcat
Kel-Tec P 32
NAA Guardian
Seecamp LWS

As for the effectiveness of the 32, I rank it in the same league as the 380 and the 38 in a snub nose. Real world stops with those guns are so close that the difference is insignificant. None of the 3 are barn burners in the stopping department, but they are much better than anything smaller, and only moderately worse than the best handgun calibers in very compact guns. Most "stopping power" it seems from actual shooting cases is from PSYCHOLOGICAL TRAUMA due to pain, fear and what not, as opposed to actual PHYSICAL INCAPACITATION (which is one reason why JHP's in any caliber usually outperform FMJ's in the same caliber). That is to say most criminals shot with anything loose the WILL to fight long before they lose the ABILITY to fight. IF YOU HAVE TO ACTUALLY HIT THE CNS OR LOWER BLOOD PRESSURE QUICKLY ENOUGH TO ABOSOLUTELY PHYSICALLY PRECLUDE ANY VIOLENT RESPONSE, YOU BETTER HAVE A RIFLE OR A SHOTGUN, and any combat veteran can tell you that even a rifle or shotgun is not a 100% proposition either in the stopping department against a determined adversary unless you take out the CNS. Like others have said, carry the best you can, but always consider ANY handgun to be ineffective as far as INSTANT STOPS go, and prepare/react accordingly.

Best to all,
Roll Tide

FYI the Kel-Tec P32 kicks less than the Walther PP/K/s. The CZ 83 (in 32acp) is the softest shooting 32 I have experienced.
