Is this a good combat combo?

I have been testing and using PMags for a while, and so far they have outperformed every other AR mag I have tried, including HK. Highly recommended. It doesn't hurt that you can find them for around $14-15 each.

Yes I like the PMAGS better than the HK mags my self, but at least no one can say you don't have HK mags. Not that it really matters anyway.

It looks like you have a couple of really good firearms. The AR looks to be outfitted well and the Glock is a no-brainer to me. I have never been in combat, so take this with a grain of salt. I do have PMAGS and like them very much.

Add an 870 12 gauge and you are good to go. Some people may argue this, but inside a house and for busting locks, the 870 is the king.
andif properly trained on the use of a shotgun they can be used for much more. they are awesome weapons, i own an 870 myself.

Only Glocks I saw were with the for hire guys,
not the case anymore, the guys that are highspeed enough to carry what they wat have glocks, and yes i piked thier brain for a long time about glocks, 1911's why they carry them and such. i learned alot in a short time.

Looks GTG to me...

I've owned the 21 and really liked it...the new version with the leaner grip feels great to me...I'm indifferent to the rail...but they work great. Probably one of the most overlooked .45's out there and certainly one of the best bargains $550 for a gun that feeds anything all day with factory mags that hold 13! You gotta love it. I'm a 1911 guy at heart but I have and will trust my arse to Glock any day (I've owned 6...I can say none of them has ever failed...and none of them had fewer than a few thousand rounds gone through em. I've beat the snot out of the 17/23/19 more than the 21 but the 21 gave no indication it was any different.

AR-s with eotechs and lights are pretty much the standard for anyone wanting a good working rig. The thermold mags gotta go though. Other than that looks good. Go getcha a buncha GI 20/30's and make sure they drop free from your lower...inspect for straight seems good welds no batering/spread at rear of feedlips from FA abuse. Load em all up with 4-6 rounds and shoot through em a few times...bad mags will almost always feed the first 20-25 rounds anyway. It's the last few that usually have issues. Magpul follower upgrades are a favorite of mine...but good mags should work reguardless of the follower color. THEN I upgrade em. Get at least 12 good mags while they are cheap...20 would be better...they'll never be cheaper than they are right now likely enough. Go through em as above and Bob's yer Uncle. No thermold/izzy.brit steel or aftermarket mags...no matter what anyone on the internet tells you. HK makes a really nice steel mag (only exception) very $$ and a lot heavier than a GI mag though...you can buy 4-6 used GI mags for what one costs. I'd rather have them and then upgrade the followers to magpul. Some people swap springs to...never had one fail though so I never bothered. New GI springs are dirt cheap anyway by the bagful.

Only thing I see that may be an issue is it looks almost like your remote wire is running inside the handguard (can't tell). If it is I wouldn't do that. I would also tape that puppy down good so as to not have it where it can snag on anything...it won't look purdy but then who cares. A lot of guys with that setup (forward PG) just put a 6P in a weaver ring and drill and put a small piece of rail right where they want the light for their thumb...viking tactics sells and offset piece to use a standard 3 or 9 o' clock preset railed forend like that. They also sell the best simple sling on the planet. The 6P thing saves the $$$ so it's cheaper to have a spare that can be quickly swapped or even used off weapon and no wires or crap to come loose or snag stuff. I probably lose gun-geek points for such a cheap setup though...the guy that set me up with it trains a lot of people with a lot of the best people...I tend to trust his advice on the matter.

If you have any questions call odspec.com and tell them what you have and what you need it to do...they can help you. They won't sell you anything that will get you killed. Ask for the owner if he's available...they are good people and always work with soldiers or contractors that need to find the right stuff fast. If they don't have it they'll tell you who does. It aint a discount outlet...but you will get what you pay for and get it really fast anywhere it needs to go.

They also have a really good HD foregrip (forget brand...might be YHM?) round non-folding screws off and on but stays put well and does NOT break...I might swap it for what you have. I forget what they cost (not cheap...but best one I've used) he'll know the one.

Happy hunting.

Yea your right, I do have ten stanard 30rd mags all with the new Magpul grey followers, two HK mags side by side that you see in the pic,now with all that said I still perfer the Pmags over any other mags, speaking from experience to me they are the best in value and most important (reliabilty)!!

My next AR build is going to be a 6.5grendel with a 24in satern barrel can't wait to start my new project, I feel like Chevy Chase in christmas vacation when he daydreams about his pool, with that little song in the background.::D

Constructive Critisism

1. ditch the eotech and get an Aimpoint Comp M4, best dam close range optic on the market. Glad to see the BUIS, most guys don't remember the simple things.

2. take the presure switch off the vertical fore grip... that's a punch in the face waiting to happen on a white light ND - I don't know what kind of light that is, here's a test; run it over with a 1/2 ton truck, if it don't work it isn't as good as a surefire, if it does, keep it!

3. for what you paid for those mags you could have had 3x the amount of USGI mags, I'm not impressed with HK mags, I've spent more time getting them to work than they're worth, they're great for throwing through windows though ;)

4. I'm not a fan of glock... just make sure the thing goes boom every time you squeeze the trigger, I happen to believe glocks have a reputation like AK's, but neither truely live up to what they are said to be, I ditched Glock a while ago and never looked back.

5. I think I see a one-point sling adapter on there, if so ditch the sling mount on the barrel, they rattle and make noise at the worst possible moment, if you find you need that sling mount latter down the road either put it back on or get one that mounts onto the rails.

6. if you don't have an extended tactical latch on the chargeing handle, I'll promise it's worth the $30.oo. I'd toss an ambidextrous safety on for good measure at another $30.oo

Not a bad set up. Anti Walk Pins are a good addition.

Ah, not trying to bust on your rifle too much... everyone has a different aproach. My opinion has been formed from being a trigger puller, and I preffer the simple aproach, so I say, but I am a Gear Quear at heart :)
