Is this a nice pistol for the price range?

Should be a nice shooter. But for strictly range use I'd stick to 40sw or even better, 9mm para for cheaper more easily sourced ammo.

For a hunting or self defense round, I like 357sig. For plinking, not so much.

Bud's has the Nightmare version of this gun for the same price. So for the price of the one listed on Gunbroker the main difference is that you would be getting 3 spare magazines. Seems like a decent enough gun if you really want a 1911 in .357SIG.

Sig makes a number of their service pistols in 357 Sig as well currently listed on their website.

Their flagship 226 and 229 models are both avaliable in 357 Sig and by all reports, if you like DA/SA decocker pistols they're among the best of the breed.

The Glock line up has a few lower priced, but I wouldn't say underperforming 357 Sig offerings. I thought about coverting a G35 to 357 Sig and mounting a small red dot on it myself for a range novelty.

I think CZ may have one or two products as well.
