Looks like it. Age is right and there are a couple other forums saying it was the same.

The good thing about helicopter crashes is, baring any serious malfunction, they are usually pretty minor( compared to plane crashes).

Helicopters can Autorotate, dampening the crash

Seeing how this is a gun forum, I'll skip that debate...except to say that statement reminds me of recent ones about ARs.

Just glad Mas and everyone else is ok.

PS: Alas, auto rotation doesn't work terribly well when the aircraft loses power over a forested area, and the rotors hit the treetops. :what: Nose-down landings are not fun.

As they say, a helicopter is just a collection of spare parts flying in close formation.

Glad everybody's OK.

And I bet you'll be sore in the morning...

Glad to hear it was no worse than it was for you or any of your companions, Mas. And thanks much for checking in.

Whew, I am glad to hear everyone made it out. As a private pilot, I know the odds of walking away from a crah. I have only had one close shave, but it can change your outlook...quick. Take care and best wishes...

Creepy stuff can happen in impact accidents. I sure hope Mas is ok like he said he was. My prayers are with him & the others.

I had a car wreck and went to the ER and kept telling everyone I was ok. ER made sure I wasn't dying then released me. My wife ignored me saying I was ok & she took me to some specialists where they said I had a concussion & a couple vertebrate out of line. Between the concussion & vertebrate messing up my nervous system I was half delusional for a month. I thought I was ok but I was so 'out of it' I wasn't even allowed to drive for several weeks.

My prayers are with those in the wreck that they truly are ok with no lingering effects.

Glad all is OK. I took care of an Army Blackhawk pilot who broke several vertebrae in a autorotation practice. Ended her career. Still quite a tough way to touch down. Glad I never experienced that in my 20-25 medical missions on the Blackhawk.

Glad to hear from you! Sounds promising...but pay close attention for a few days. Let us hear from you again...soon. Just don't let something sneak up on you.
