Is your interest in guns narrow or broad?

My interest is very broad, but my budget has kept things somewhat narrow at the moment. Lots of mausers and mosins with a couple of 1903s thrown in. Several shotguns, mostly pumps but with one O/U. This year, the goal is more handguns, some black powder rifles, and a Garand. (I had a Garand, but had to sell it to cover some medical bills.) The only "modern" rifles I have are a couple of AR-15s (and some stripped lowers) and a Savage 110. I'd like to add at least one Lee-Enfield, Arisaka, Enfield 1917, K31, and an M39 mosin but those are going to be more targets of opportunity.

And a phased plasma rifle in the 40 watt range. :D

Very broad, but like you, "reality" (budget) keeps it pretty simple. My piece by piece AR, Mossberg 22 rifle, Glock 23, and my FNX45T.............. and I'm perfectly happy with that.

At some point though, I would like to add a Ruger Hunter.:)

Handguns. Almost from day one. Very gradually gravitated to revolvers in general and Colt Snubbies in particular though I do love S&W snubs as well

My interest has evolved throughout the years.
In my early 20s, I got the chance to shoot a Colt 1911. Wasn't very accurate and shot about a foot low at 15 yards. Figured I'd never own a 1911. When I hit 30, my LGS had a used Springfield Armory custom hardball 1911. I took a chance and loved it. When I was on my "A" game, it would shoot quarter sized groups at 15 yards off hand. Minus a flyer or two.
I got big into the 44 mags and 300 mags till I hit my early 40s. Then wondered if killing on one end and hurting on the other was worth it.
Now I shoot 223, 6.5 Grendel, and 308. My passion was handguns, but at 56 my eyesight and open sights don't agree. Now leaning toward bench and tiny groups.

I have a broad interest in learning about and understanding guns. For example I'm currently enjoying a book and DVD on firearms history. I'm learning about the first firearms known to man, along with the evolution of them.

However I have no interest in owning nor shooting something like a matchlock, flintlock or percussion cap anything.

As far as owning and using, I would say my interests are mainly post WW2. In that respect, all forms of long guns and hand guns are welcomed.

My answer is broad. Wow already four pages.
Potato cannons, Black powder, regular cannons, air guns, and all the usual suspects in smokeless. The only thing that I have done over the years is to taper off on purchasing shotguns. All other things that go boom are fair game.:D For the longest time I was in the gun of the month club.;)

Fairly broad but I've slowed down with the purchases quite a bit. I have a small collection of surplus military rifles, some handguns, and a couple of shotguns. I shoot all of them at least a little every year. I'd like to get a levergun and a nice over/under, something that starts with a "B" for clay games, and maybe a cap and ball revolver before I quit. I like to be able to shoot the guns I have.

Somewhat narrow. I like to tinker on Bubba stuff after the hack. I have a few that are decent, but most are just projects to tinker on :)

My interests have changed as time wore on. First it was squirrel hunting, then rabbits, then punching paper, then Army, then back to paper and on to clays.

Range times went from a few hours after work, to mid-day picnics with friends as we tinkered and shot the latest build-up of something.

Now, it's more tinkering and less shooting except for air rifles... They are getting a bigger work-out so trigger time stays relatively the same :)
