Looking for info on Model 37 Americana

I recently purchased a Ithaca Model 37 Americana edition serial # A0937. The gun is in mint condition and looks to have been shot only a few times. I was wondering if anyone knows what this gun is worth? Is it true that this model was given to dealers in 1972 as a perk for selling the new model 51 shotguns? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

i saw a model 37 today for $200. was wondering if it is a good deal or not? The serial number is like 309xxx. just remembered the first 3 for reference. it was a solid rib with a 30" full choke 12 ga. condition is like 90% with great blueing and like perfect wood. it just needs a new butt pad as the rubber is compressed. all the other ones I own or have owned have had a solid buttplate and this one has a rubber soft one (or what used to be soft).

Oh I think it also said 37R and did not see it listed on your site?

so should i snag it for $200 or pass?
Thanks jon

made in 1950...I have a 37R 30in full from the same year 3036XX.......mines not 90%....about 80/85% with refinished wood...

guys were taking their gals out for a malted milk...and to a Drive-in movie on saturday night..sci fi movies were all the rage.....rock and roll had all the kids jumping ..and sock hops had all the adults worried.... that '57 Chevy was brand spankin new.. just like your 37 Ithaca....1957.......a good year no matter how you look at it....

BTW...the -4 means full choke...

Thanks Gunut.
I knew there were good reasons for lovin' this ol' gun.
That and she still shoots good to boot! :)

DS II Police Special Nickel finish 20" barrel,

I have an DS II Police Special Ultralight with Nickel finish Marking on the Barrel also has MS stamped under this. The only blemish on the finish are the slide marks on the tube. The stocks are in like new condition. Can anyone tell me the value of this gun?

Thanks Gunut!!

It's a very nice 28" full choke w/vent rib and a little real ivory pistol grip cap, which is probably not original.

I'm about 25K units too early for interchangable barrels though.

I would appreciate any info on the year of manufacture of my newly aquired Ithaca 37 Ultrafeatherlight 20 ga. ser# 3718662XX. Thanks in advance...Chas :)

Just thought I'd share my 1985 Police model that someone gifted me this year...it was sitting in his safe unfired and he wanted to get rid of it...who was I to say no?
