Kyle Defoor says that a modern AR should have a sling, light and red dot. I tried to resist but after trying some I couldn't help but fall for the aimpoint pro. Add that to the vtac sling (awesome) and Surfire g2 (awesomer), and she's done. Camo for the Tacticool and hunting factor (I'll be takin boar and deer in the fall with this rig and the right ammo).

Haven't sighted the aimpoint in yet. Just got it yesterday. I'll be at the range Monday to put down a few hundred. So far, though, in dry runs, I like it. A lot.

Quick detach light on the bottom rail. Gives you the option to remove your light when hunting or target shooting sand gives you a place to easily forward mount a bipod should you get into long distance work.

If I'm going to hunt with my AR it needs more than a red dot if I'm going to be shooting at any distance. For HD I agree with Mr. Defoor.

Although my feelings on it are; "An AR should have what ever you want on it!"

While I have quite a few, this is my HD AR...I run a single point sling with it but its not in the pic. The ACOG works very well from 10 feet to 200 yards and needs no batteries. The green laser will really light up a dark room.
